The Forgotten - Die Wahrheit stirbt nie

I LOVED this show & I'm sick that ABC canceled it before it even had a chance. It was a unique idea that had real merit because it brought to light a situation that really exists and gave much needed publicity to the network that helps solve the problem. I have actually looked into how close the nearest network was & whether I have any talents that would be useful to them. The show had also started some very interesting discussions with my 13 year old that we might not have had without the show! At that age is doesn't occur to them that someone could die unidentified & unclaimed. We have also discussed how driven a parent could be to find a missing child &th until there's proof, you can't stop looking. Boo hiss to ABC!

This show was not your usual "CSI" type of production. I was impressed by the cast's way of depicting very different people from various walks of life who wanted to volunteer their personal time to identify someone who died "nameless". It was a terrific concept and I am sure it has inspired any number of people to pursue involvement in this worthy cause. So why did ABC nix the show?? I felt let down and disappointed that the show was discontinued. There are so many "dumb" reality shows on TV right now. Why isn't a show like this one valued when it is based on real and very sad circumstances that can turn out in a positive way for families who have missing children etc.?

I am stating my opinion as to wondering why they took the forgotten off the air. I am beyond angry for doing such a stupid move! I want them to bring back the forgotten with the same actors and actresses. This is one of the best shows that I've watched since Jaws. So now my question is, "When are they going to bring back the forgotten?" Christian Slater is one of my favorite actors and I would love to meet him in person so that I could let him know personally. The other characters in the forgotten was also amazing people as they are a team. You do not want to break up a team! While flipping through channels one day, I came across the previews for this show and decided to give it a shot. Turns out I ended up liking it even more as things progressed in the first episode with ample character development and a plot with many twists and turns that keeps you on the edge of your seat at a steady pace. The key aspect that clicked with me was the dynamics of this amateur group of detectives that have their reasons for joining in the fight for justice for those that have become "forgotten" by deadly circumstances beyond their control and with sheer determination and will, they become personally and emotionally involved in the case. With all the other crime shows out now, I would say that "The Forgotten" is nicely ranked up there with the likes of "CSI", Criminal Minds, and of course Cold Case. Lets hope ABC rests their laurels on this one. One of the best crime shows on the air.

Alex Donovan (Christian Slater) suffered a personal loss. He decided to start a group of like-minded civilian volunteers to identify John/Jane Does for the police. Everybody bring their own special skills to the team.

Of the three recent Christian Slater led TV efforts, I liked this one the most. Along with Christian, this star Michelle Borth, Anthony Carrigan, Bob Stephenson, and Rochelle Aytes. Heather Stephens was let go midway thru the season which lasted 17 episodes. As a procedural, it has just enough originality to be slightly different. The team has good chemistry especially from Michelle Borth. I guess that this just wasn't flashy enough.
