Yar, Kalaa, and Pag defeat Uka and escape from the caves of his tribe. Once free, the trio set off on a journey to the harsh desert in search of Roa, the queen of the sand people.
After a perilous journey to the coastal community, losing Roa along the way, the village comes under attack from strange men from the sky and so Yor, Kalaa and Pag must travel to a remote island in order to stop the attacks and for Yor to learn of his true origins.
Yor learns of his true identity when he is captured by Il Supremo who intends to use him in order to breed a nation of super-beings but with the help of a group of rebels, Yor escapes and intends to thwart Il Supremo's dastardly plans in a final showdown.
