A special forces policeman rescues Mi Ka and helps her dispose of the bomb she was forced to hold. Later, Mi Ka is one of the doctors being trained for emergencies - and unknowingly meets him while trying to slip away for her own reasons.
The training group is punished for Mi Ka's actions but Captain Xing doesn't name her directly. She accepts individual punishment but leaves again to meet Dr Shao. Ruan QingXia arrives at the base and Shu WenBo is assigned to her.
Mi Ka is expelled from the training program but refuses to give up. Xia pushes Shu Wenbo during filming. Mi Ka seeks extra help for skills she missed. Captain Xing sees Li Nian helping her.
Shu Wenbo tries to protect Xia's modesty. Mi Ka fails training. The trainees throw a completion party and try to get Capt. Xing's heart rate over 100. A car accident proves Mi Ka's bravery.
Mi Ka and Xu YanShan are trapped in an elevator with a patient who needs immediate surgery. Mi Ka is assigned to neurosurgery. Ye XiaoMan is able to go abroad for treatment. Dr Shao refuses to be coerced about surgical priority.
Dr Shao is called into question for the double surgery, Mi Ka speaks up. Xia decides she likes Shu Wenbo. Xing Keilei and Mi Ka are reprimanded for an incident. Mi Ka is transferred to ER.
Director Wei criticizes Mi Ka. Xing Kelei argues with Dr Shao about Mi Ka's transfer but is stonewalled. Mi Ka finds out about the deliveries ordered by Xing Kelei. Yanshan's attempts to ingratiate herself go nowhere.
Xia gets in the good graces of Shu Wenbo's mother. Xing Kelei conscripts his friends in the police force to transport medicine for a critically poisoned young girl. Mi Ka gives away her rent money and has to look for a new place.
Mi Ka rents an apartment from a strange, over-indulgent landlord. Shao Yuhan and Xing Keyao meet up. Xia enlists Shu Wenbo to investigate Mi Ka's landlord.
Shu Wenbo's mother tries to help bring Xia and him together but he is reluctant. Chen Tao's favorite internet star is kidnapped. Mi Ka is part of the medical team dispatched.
Dr Shao invites Mi Ka to a party at his place - Xu Yanshan complains that he is playing favorites. Xing Keyao sets Xing Kelei up on an unwanted blind date. Xing Kelei gets called away and has to leave Mi Ka before their date could begin.
Lu Feng declares his intentions to pursue Xia. Meanwhile, Shu Wenbo's mother sets up a blind date. A female officer is introduced to Tiger team - one who out-shoots Shu Wenbo. A date with Mi Ka unexpectedly turns into a team dinner.
Xing Kelei frets about the failed date. Xia wakes up in a hotel room and assumes the worst. An earthquake sends people into a panic at the hospital. Meanwhile, teams and volunteers are summoned for rescue operations.
Xing Kelei's team is sent towards villages to gather information and relay information. Zhuo Wenjing slips down a cliff as they carry an injured man to camp. Mi Ka repels down the cliff to tend to her. Xia documents relief efforts.
Xing Kelei and Dr Shao lead a team toward more remote villages encountering challenging situations. Xia impresses Shu Wenbo. Villages will be flooded from an emergency discharge at the dam but Dr Shao refuses to delay a surgery.
Mi Ka stays with Xing Kelei's team waiting for buried miners to be found. Lu Feng and Xia come across a woman in labor. Aftershocks block the exits and trap Xing Kelei and Mi Ka within the mine with limited oxygen.
Xing Kelei is caught under a rockfall and forces Mi Ka to use the oxygen, confessing to her even as they both lose consciousness. A token confirms a past connection that was only supposed. Lacking signals frustrate a new romance.

Xing Kelei tells Mi Ka about his tumor and begins arrangements to have the surgery. Xing Keyao comes home at the news, angry that Xing Kelei didn't tell her. Dr Shao returns and offers a ray of hope for a faster recovery.
Emotions are high as the surgery draws near. Many people check on Mi Ka and Keyao as the surgery drags on and on. Afterwards even his team devises a duty roster. Mi Ka sends Shu Wenbo to help Xia finish cooking soup for Xing Kelei.

Xia mistakes Shu Wenbo's gift but he witnesses her reaction. The Shen sisters continue to scheme and cause trouble for Mi Ka. Shu Wenbo rescues Xia from her stalker and asks her to be his girlfriend.
Xing Kelei and his team compete in Public Security System Combat. The Chen sisters spread more rumors but Mi Ka thinks of a way to counter their attacks. Keyao confronts her brother. The sisters push Mi Ka too far.

The police get their man and Mi Ka gets put of isolation. Xia and Mi Ka drink a little too much and lament loving special police. Mi Ka passes the first evaluation for her application. Shu Wenbo gets Xing Kelei to help him choose a ring.
Mi Ka struggles to tell Xing Kelei about her application. Dr Shao expresses a wish for a future with Keyao. Shu Wenbo proposes to Xia while she plays a game on her phone. Mi Ka finds the ring. Xing Kelei finds out about her application.
Xia and Shu Wenbo take wedding photos. Dr Shao passes a message to Keyao through Mi Ka. Xia and Shu Wenbo hold a party for their friends instead of a formal wedding. Mi Ka studies in the USA but returns for a brief visit.
Xing Kelei gets stabbed to protect Mi Ka on the bus. Shao Yuhan casually proposes to Xing Keyao as they walk through a mall. Xing Kelei enlists his teammates to surprise Mi Ka at the base, then gets on one knee.
