It’s official: Thunderbolts director Jake Schreier is directing X-Men for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During a recent roundtable attended by Collider’s Steve Weintraub for Fantastic Four, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed Schreier’s appointment, finally putting to rest months of speculation about who would take the reins of the MCU’s first mutant-led film.

“Yeah, it’s official. Jake Schreier is doing X-Men for us,” Feige said. “Very lucky, and we’re very, very lucky to have him, and very excited to have him. And so we're beginning. It’s all starting now. Script’s underway.” The script in question is being written by Michael Lesslie, whose recent credits include The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. No cast or plot details have been announced, but Feige did drop a major hint about the tone and focus of the reboot — one that longtime fans will no doubt appreciate.

Starting in October, Age of Revelation transforms the Marvel Universe, taking it 10 years into a future where a new mutant utopia created by Apocalypse's heir, Doug Ramsey a.k.a. Revelation, threatens to overtake all of Earth.

All this week, we'll be taking you into the Age of Revelation with announcements for new series set in this bold new storytelling landscape, including exciting status quo changes for Spider-Man, Wolverine, and more heroes as they navigate a world ravaged by Revelation's unstoppable conquest.

Age of Revelation #0, a surprise prelude issue to the event, will be available at select retailers later this week, and additional copies can be ordered now. Age of Revelation officially begins on October 1 in Age of Revelation Overture #1, a one-shot by the current X-Men creative team, writer Jed MacKay and artist Ryan Stegman.

Following that, Age of Revelation continues in new titles, including an evolution of the entire current X-Men line.

Marvel announced Rogue Storm in a post on their website, following up on earlier teases. Marvel Studios and Zillow have teamed up for a fun promotional tie-in for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, putting the iconic Baxter Building up on the site. Introduced in The Fantastic Four #3 in 1962, the Baxter Building has been the central base and home for Marvel's First Family in the comics. Ever since fans got their first look at the Baxter Building in the teaser trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, fans have been obsessed with its mid-century modern aesthetic.

The Baxter Building has gotten a special listing on Zillow at 260 Baxter Building Plaza, New York, NY 10017. The listing features new looks at the building's interior, including a sneak peek at the kitchen, lounge, and labs of Reed Richards. Keeping with the theme, the Baxter Building is listed at $4,444,444 and features four bedrooms and four bathrooms, spanning 4,444 square feet. The post reads:

Brad Pitt might hold the record for briefest Marvel movie cameo, thanks to his role in Ryan Reynolds' "Deadpool 2." The Fox-produced Marvel movie was directed by David Leitch, who has long been Pitt's stunt double. Leitch was able to call in a favor and have Pitt join "Deadpool 2" in a two-second silent cameo. The movie saw Reynolds' Deadpool putting together a team of heroes called X-Force, only for almost the entire team to be immediately wiped out while attempting to parachute in high winds. Marvel has officially unveiled the next era of X-Men comics, titled The Age of Revelation, and it’s already promising a dark and brutal new chapter for mutantkind. Alongside the announcement, Marvel revealed a chilling cover that teases a grim future for the X-Men, with Cyclops seemingly at the center of the chaos.

On July 2, 2025, Marvel dropped the briefest of teasers both on their official website and on X, revealing the name of the X-Men’s next era: The Age of Revelation, set to launch in October 2025. Along with the release window, Marvel confirmed that a full announcement will arrive sometime next week, offering more details about this next chapter for mutantkind.

The Rookie star Nathan Fillion might have had a few roles in the MCU, but it’s his co-star, Shawn Ashmore, who definitely deserves a spot among the returning X-Men stars in Marvel’s highly anticipated movie, Avengers: Doomsday.

Doomsday, the fifth Avengers installment, is set to mark the return of several fan favorites not only from the MCU but also from Fox’s X-Men universe. Marvel has already confirmed the returning star cast that includes Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and Kelsey Grammer, along with several others. Among all these returning members, Ashmore, who played Iceman in the original X-Men movies, certainly deserves a spot for himself as well.

Vin Diesel just dropped some big news for fans of the “Fast and Furious” franchise. At Fuel Fest, a car lover’s event held in Pomona, California, Diesel showed up on stage with Tyrese Gibson and Cody Walker and shared a few surprises about what’s coming in the next and final movie in the series.

He said the last “Fast and Furious” movie is now expected to come out in April 2027. According to Diesel, the studio wanted that specific release window, and he agreed—but only under a few conditions.

This is widely believed to be the grounds of the X-Mansion, where the X-Men will battle Sentinels dispatched to take them out by Doctor Doom. Pieces of the downed robots have previously been revealed, while those statues have been a hot topic of debate among fans.

But, Ryan Reynolds recently revealed that the original ending for Deadpool & Wolverine would have been much different, and Marvel fans would have been very upset.

Ryan Reynolds recently appeared on The Box Office Podcast to promote the fourth season of Welcome to Wrexham and discussed the 2024 smash-hit, Deadpool & Wolverine. During the conversation, Reynolds addressed Deadpool & Wolverine's emotional ending, which saw Logan try to sacrifice himself, only to survive and walk off into the sunset. But, it turns out that the other immortal X-Men character was originally the one who would have died in the movie.

Cameras are currently rolling on Avengers: Doomsday in London, and we have some new details on what is believed to be the X-Men's introduction to Marvel Studios' next big event movie.

We've known that these first scenes being filmed will feature the X-Men for a while, and even though no cast members have been photographed, we have seen evidence of a destructive battle on the grounds of the X-Mansion, with Sentinel limbs strewn across the ground.

According to scooper Mttsh, this action sequence will be the first time we see the mutant heroes in Doomsday, and the battle - which is also rumored to feature members of The Avengers - will be "similar to that of X-Men '97, with them fighting the Sentinels. That way, we are introduced to the team and their powers."

Of course, fans of the 20th Century Fox X-Men movies will already be familiar...
