Fails to captured the magic of Panchayat

Weak plot although a good attempt but kinda slow and feels dragged lots of unnecessary plot twist; of course it's a low budget and not a typical Bollywood movie. I was hoping it to be the next panchayat kind but it falls short!

Positive review

Nice dramatic film with fundamental storyline. Cinematography wasn't extraordinary but okay. All the actors and actresses were natural. I don't know why such kind films don't get enough limelight, always remains underrated. Vision about collective farming with latest technology usage was amazing, it should bring prosperity in agro sector. To raise awareness among peoples such kind of films should get more attention. All in all it was one of the good films with a meaningful message but staying behind.

Movie For ALL INDIANS irrespective of RELIGION to WATCH in 2022

As a Youngster, I felt so much overwhelmed with the situation of a village in India depicted by the director.

Humour is used in the most beautiful way to give a inspirative narration with a hidden subtitle of "ATMANIRBHAR" in real true sense!!!!

A master piece to watch and invest time in!!

Full marks to content and ART masterpiece with Pure Talent!!

Very good content for indian people

Exigent content grateful movie.i like this move it's very good acting by bevyandu sharma and good direction movie.

A good movie makes the audience feel like they've journeyed with the characters. ... A good movie is three good scenes and no bad scenes. ... I have a very simple definition of a good movie: a good movie makes you forget you're watching a movie. ... No good movie is too long and no bad movie is short enough.

A Miscalculated Mixture Of Rural Farmers' Issues, Modern Agriculture & Urban Unemployment.

Mere Desh Ki Dharti (2022) : Movie Review -

One of the earliest films I remember that broke the silence on urban unemployment was King Vidor's silent drama "The Crowd" (1928). The film is largely known as a classic romantic drama, but it has remained in my memory as one of the finest pathbreaking films from the early days of cinema. Then came Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times (1936). More like a satire - the film again broached the issue of unemployment and young chaps' depression. Chaplin made another film that spoke about unemployment with Monsieur Verdoux (1947) set in the depression era. From "Do Bigha Zameen" (1953) to a modern classic like "Upkar" (1965), Indian cinema has produced many classics about farmer's tragedies. For the unemployment issue, I remember Bimal Roy and Kishore Kumar's "Naukari" (1954), but in modern Bollywood we don't have any films immensely focused on these issues. Mere Desh Ki Dharti is quite a mix of these three issues: farmers' suicide, urban unemployment, and modern agriculture. However, it is a below par attempt, which has an honest subject but is dishonest in the storytelling.

Two working-class urban boys, Ajay (Divyenndu) and Sameer (Anant Vidhaat), lose their jobs while trying to grow in the forest of the corporate world. The two engineers decide to commit suicide, but then comes a new light in their dark lives, a second chance. Ajay and Sameer travel to an unknown rural village, see the happiness of living life, and decide to make the villagers free from basic farming issues. It's a comedy and a drama, but it also has a little bit of romance and a social message too. The film also portrays the harsh realities of farmers in the villages of India. Like I said, it's quite a mix, but it's miscalculated. The screenplay is scattered and fails to stick to the matter, which was very serious and important. Actually, this topic needed a keen eye to look at it, and the same script could have been told in better ways.

Talking about performances, it's all about Dibyenndu and Anant's show. Dibyenndu is not a newcomer anymore, so I can say he is pretty mature in the school of acting. Well, he is decent, but I personally expected more. Anant Vidhaat has surpassed my expectations, though. He is damn freaking awesome in the outburst scene against his boss. He wasn't just representing his character in that scene, but he was representing every single engineer and every single corporate worker who deserves the promotion but doesn't get it. Anupria Goenka looks beautiful as Gaon Ki Chori, but performance-wise, she could have done better. Inaamulhaq as Pappan is a full-to-dhamaal show. Not a single moment of boredom. His character is so entertaining and those dialogues are so good that you even forget the script's faults for a while. In the supporting roles, Brijendra Kala, Rajesh Sharma, Avantika Khattri, Farrukh Jaffar, and Atul Srivastava look fairly decent.

The film has so many loo breaks and unfortunately it's too long to hold the small concept. In the first half, it showcases the corporate world set in the city, and then the second half takes you into the rural setting. The idea of keeping two parts in two opposite places was actually nice, but somehow, it lacks the skills of smart storytelling. Moreover, its small budget doesn't allow it to go beyond a certain limit, and that's why it remains stuck in a limited zone. Piyush Mishra's dialogues try to throw some life into this dead screenplay, but it doesn't go far from its smaller reach. The music isn't that kind of a big hit, so you can't really enjoy it. However, Mere Desh Ki Dharti will awaken that nostalgia of Manoj Kumar for you if you are ready to accept Sukhwinder Singh's voice for it. Faraz Haider's direction could have managed to deal with the script better, but it fails flat right on that one hector farm. Overall, Mere Desh Ki Dharti may please some chunk of the audience, but the major section will be disappointed with it. A clear case of a good idea falling in the wrong hands.

Inspirational Story , Malified Intentions behind direction

The subject of the review says it all. Disgracing Hindusism and embracing islam, can be seen in every twist and turn of this film. Education is waste and uneducated people are more happy and successful is the new gyan delivered by MDKD. Every single caste leaving Muslims has been disgraced in one of it's song. Every right thing happens in "salamat"pur, the comedian calls every non-muslim person denoting "KHAN". No doubt story retains it's freshness, devendu-anant are fabulous and that's the only reason behind giving it one star. CBFC must ban this film immediately.

The movie idea was good at the first sight, but then towards the end you will find that it is nothing but Cuba style propaganda for collective farming.

Laughable Execution of a good concept..

Farmer suicide in our country is really a terrifying and sensitive issue. Poor farmers take loans from the bank for farming, then they go and sweat day & night at field to grow some corns. But due to various reasons like, flood, scarcity of rain, can't get satisfactory growings, by the Grace of God if they succeed to grow good amout of corn, they can't sell in good price due monopoly and politics at kishanmandi. So Farmers can't get back any profit from farming as a result they can't be able to repay the loan to the bank. They don't have money to feed two square meal. So they choose to end their lives....

Two engineer cityman friends Ajay (Dibyendu) and Sameer (Anant) left home after facing big failures in their professional career to suicide, they couldn't be able to end their life in railway station, so they went for any unknown place, where they can suicide peacefully. And end of reaching to the Karzapur village where farmers suiciding due bad farming and loans... Then how they got welcomed and how much drama started we can see in later part the story..

The concept is good, but the way it's protrayed is quite unbelievable, laughable and childish... There is no character development of the two lead characters. The social issue also couldn't left a mark due to non connectivity towards issue because of the way it's protrayed in a unrealistic way, though Dibyendu's performance somehow creates some humorous and loving momens but again we screenplay remains as a predictable spoiler...

In acting Dibyendu is fantastic but, Ananta gave a flat performance. Because side characters didnt have to do anything actor like Rajesh Sharma, anupriya Goyenka and some more great actors just got wasted.

Music is pretty bad and doesn't create nay impact...

So all in a whole the movie failed to create any impact...

Great movie. India needs the farm laws back!

Just what the government of India intended to do with those farm laws. People must watch this movie and spread the message. The middleman are hurting the farmers more than anyone else. The government had done the right thing by passing those laws.

Well Captured Theme

A well thought and executed theme. This film deals with two major problems of our country i.e. Migration from villages to cities for job and low yield of our agriculture produce. A well directed movie and all actors played their roles in natural manner.

One of the best movie

"Mere Desh Ki Dharti" (2022) is an Indian film that stands out as one of the best cinematic experiences I have ever had. Directed by Faraz Haider, the movie skillfully balances entertainment with a thought-provoking message, making it a must-watch for audiences of all ages.

The film revolves around the journey of two city-dwelling engineers, Ajay and Sameer, played by Divyenndu Sharma and Anant Vidhaat Sharma, who find themselves in a rural Indian village. What starts as a pursuit for financial stability soon transforms into a deeper exploration of India's agricultural heartland. The narrative beautifully captures the essence of rural life, highlighting the challenges faced by farmers while also celebrating their resilience and innovation.

One of the most striking aspects of "Mere Desh Ki Dharti" is its sincere portrayal of the agricultural sector. The film does not shy away from addressing the harsh realities and struggles faced by farmers in India. Yet, it is filled with hope, showcasing how determination and a fresh perspective can lead to sustainable solutions. This optimistic outlook is both inspiring and refreshing in a world where such stories are often overlooked.

The performances in the film are commendable. Divyenndu Sharma delivers a heartfelt performance, capturing the internal conflict of a man caught between his urban ambitions and newfound rural responsibilities. Anant Vidhaat Sharma provides a perfect balance of humor and seriousness, making their on-screen camaraderie believable and enjoyable. Supporting performances, especially from Anupriya Goenka and Inaamulhaq, add depth to the narrative, enriching the storytelling with authenticity and emotion.

The film's music, composed by Vikram Montrose and penned by Azeem Shirazi, complements the narrative beautifully. The songs resonate with the themes of hope, resilience, and the beauty of rural India, enhancing the overall viewing experience.

What truly makes "Mere Desh Ki Dharti" exceptional is its ability to strike a chord with the audience. It is not just a film but a movement that encourages young Indians to appreciate and engage with their roots. It inspires a sense of pride in the country's agrarian culture while urging viewers to think about the future of Indian agriculture.

In conclusion, "Mere Desh Ki Dharti" is a gem of Indian cinema, a film that entertains while leaving a lasting impact. It is a powerful reminder of the importance of our agricultural community and the need for innovative thinking to overcome the challenges it faces. This film is more than just a story; it is a tribute to the spirit of rural India and a call to action for us all. A truly remarkable movie that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a meaningful cinematic experience.
