Any interest, skill, or design in home improvement shows is usually completely choked out by some combination of insufferable people, manifested unnecessary drama and scary aesthetics.
This show has skilled and likable hosts who have likable voices. I never knew that "likable voices" was a thing, but how many of these shows have women with shrill, screechy voices.... or men/women whose speech inflection is one where every statement sounds like a question?!?
These two are charming and the work they do doesn't suck.

Enjoying this new show. I love the couple and they have some interesting ideas. I like that they like to capture the character of the homes they work with.
Yes we know it's cool, but she's got to stop saying it over 20 times in one episode 😊
I really like Dave and Jenny because not only are we seeing what they do as their real life careers but also a glimpse into their lives with family and friends! They feel really genuine as a couple and as home renovators! You can tell they really try to make these renovations custom to the homeowners' tastes, which you can't say for every HGTV show. Yes, they are a little cheesy at times, but that's a draw for me! It's also neat that they only renovate in their hometown, which I'm sure makes it easier on them and their family. 16 episodes/renovations in a season would be a lot for anyone! The new season is really great so far and love that I can watch it on Discovery Plus! Would definitely recommend for a casual watch to anyone who's never seen it and likes home reno shows!

Best Home Improvement Show On HGTV! I admire your hard work and design! Thank You for another GREAT SEASON!!!!!
Excellent construction side Dave and Chase! U Rock!!! Jenny your eye for design is something I admire deeply! I've watched and rewatched every episode! Thanks again for your show!!!! Keep them coming PLEASEEEEE
I just found Fixer to Fabulous.
Where have I been?!
I watch 5 other shows on HGTV and of those 5, three do home reno's like this, and they are good, but it's the craftsmanship that Dave exhibits. They all have craftsmanship of some type, but Dave's just looks and feels different, is it better?, eh, probably not, he just speaks to me differently than the other shows. My father, a craftsman in his own right, brought me up watching This Old House back in the 70's so Dave's reno's remind me of Norm and his gang,...oh yea, his incredible workshop too.
Jenny, Dave's wife is so involved in their projects, and her input, vision and assistance so so compliments Dave. They are a great team.
I've put to the back burner one of the HGTV shows on my DVR, and can not get enough of Dave & Jenny. Fixer to Fabulous is set for every show that comes up, repeats and all.
Love it, love it, love it.

Dave and Jenny are a warm and friendly couple. They couldn't be nicer. This show has a clear and pleasant future.
Love love love Dave and chase, and I really like their input way more then Jenny's. I feel like they lend a more personalized touch in their projects that go along with the homeowners like. Where I feel like Jenny's usually have more to do with what she would want in the space and I feel like she often tries to take credit for Dave and/or Chase's ideas.

Please, please, do not build railings with horizontal (aka climb-able) balustrades instead of vertical ones.
Y'all have great ideas, are very talented, and are extremely personable! I like your show.
Please, safety over design, always! We don't want little ones able to climb and be able to fall where the railing is supposed to protect them.
Thanks!

I like the style and personalities of this design team. It's my favorite HGTV show. I like that they try to address the whole structure.
Whay I don't like is the wanton waste and destruction (across the network with some exceptions for salvaging). This show in particular loves the scene of destrand dragging everything to the dumpster. What i would like to see is a Habitat for Humanity truck pull up and take some of the discards for reuse. Even better i would love if Habitat had there own show complete with flasbacks showing where the repurposed items came from. HGTV could turn a profit from charity - or gain goodwill through dedicating the profits of that show to housing. Could also partner with Salvation Army and others to furnish the homes.
Pretty please!!

Interesting show, nice hosts. They do very good work. Fun to see turn-of-the-century (that other century) homes reclaimed in small-town America. Unfortunately almost to a person, the homeowners are far too hammy with the camera. I'm sure we'd be excited too if the Marrs remodeled our home. But these folks too often really, really overdo the shrieking, jumping up and down, clapping, and OHMYGOD-ing. Unfortunately the reveal portion of the show requires frequent use of the mute button. The Marrs are great. The director needs to tone down the hill-folk overacting at the reveals, though, seriously.

I love the show for reasons mentioned in other reviews but I am dying inside as a teacher because our hosts have picked up some bad habits over the years from other reality stars.
"Meet Dave and I at the house." Take off one of the subjects (Dave) and what do you have left?
"Meet I at the house." That makes no sense.
You'd say, "Meet ME at the house." Or at least I hope you would.
Therefore, for the original sentence, you should say, "Meet Dave and ME at the house." <--this is correct!! I'm a teacher, writer, and editor. Yes, I'm sure it is correct.
Then there's always the: "This is my wife and I's bedroom." There's a reason spell check tries to change that to I'd. You never refer to your bedroom as "I's." You say it's "our" bedroom, or if you want to mention both people, "my wife's and my bedroom," though that is redundant and unnecessary.
EVERY HOST these days on these shows uses "I" because they think they're being classy but it's the opposite! It's so frustrating! Please, can we fix it so our favorite stars seem well-educated? If the idea is to be uneducated, please continue to say, "I's bedroom." It might be too late to re-educate the country but one can try, I guess.
TL:DR Take out the other subject's name and say your sentence. Does it make sense? If not, change it (in most cases change "I" to "me") to make sense.

I love this show! I always look for it and watch every chance I get. It's better than that other annoying show " Love it or list it" I hate that show. Please put Fabulous Fixer back on with new episodes.

I have watched this program since it started. Liked Jenny at the beginning but it's changed. She's become bossy and insistent on making more work at a cost (i.e. Fireplace) that Dave doesn't want. Also, she's telling them I want this, I want that which means more building for Dave. Italy is a good example but she does it in the US as well.
I do mostly like the final design but Jenny please stop making the kitchen cabinets green! Unless this is what the owners want, why would you take a chance?
I do like, however, that the budget is told whereas a lot of other renovation no price is told to us.

Dave is a solid dude, albeit a little boring. He is obviously talented but doesn't teach us much. More shop time please....without Jenny.
Jenny is as nice as can be but she is just too peppy and not in a good way. She's trying so hard but it's annoying, not entertaining. She needs to calm down be given a project for each episode, because she typically seems to be in the way and the constant shrieking is obnoxious. Often, she gathers the crew to describe what's supposed to be happening and it's annoying to watch, so that must be really annoying to them. Whomever is making these decisions - please stop it.
I love the 'before and after' and overall, they make good decisions with the remodels and decor. Often, however, the decor is a little too whitewashed and bland. I do appreciate how they work on the exteriors though.
Yeah, we all miss the dynamic personalities of Chip & Jo and their remodels were exceptional. But I realize their workmanship and how they interacted together is as to come by.

The damn white is horrible! Stop!!!!! It's like someone sprayed white paint on absolutely everything. It's really bad.
Please stop calling your husband "Dave Marrs" it was funny maybe once: maybe, now it's 14 times a show. It's stupid. And Dave calling his wife "Jenny Marrs." Just makes a person want to spit!
Jenny does what she wants, no wonder they got sued. It's not where Jenny is going to live. It's all about her and her wants.
And stop making everything the exact same. They don't even resemble 100 year old houses anymore, they look like beyond our future, George Jetson era! And they can all be interchangeable. I am only on season two, not sure if I can take much more of Jenny.
They throw out so much, it's so wasteful. Call up Habitat for Humanity, no wonder our landfills are full, it's this show, they single handedly filled them up with the busted up cupboards and all the stoves and things that were perfectly good for other people who don't have $100,000 to remodel.

Dave and Chase are awesome!! (Dave kind of looks like John Kransinki!) I laugh out loud at this show! Jenny, while well meaning, is super awkward and a bit weird and not the brightest bulb in the box. She ruins the show for me. Most of her decorating choices I find cringe worthy. Dave and Chase do an amazing job! I find their end results are very good from the craftsmanship perspective! I would definitely hire Dave and Chase to renovate my home. Overall, I wish them growth and success. (Yes, even Jenny) :)

I used to like this show and both of them immensely they were very down to earth. However, after watching some of the shows about their reno in Italy, Jenny seems to have become a spendthrift caring more about getting The most expensive finishes than the client's budget. She was visibly disappointed when her "friend" couldn't afford the floor tile or the countertop that she originally wanted. Jenny's face said it all and she kept trying to talk her into it because it was 'so worth it' because of what they were trying to do and create. Gosh if she treats a friend like money is no object then Lord only knows how she would treat the rest of us. Very very disappointed in her attitude lately.

I love the results of the renovatings and the use of recycled materials during the process - but I really resent the demolision process where everything is completely torn apart. It is not environmentally friendly to trash nice and usefull kitchens, bathrooms, floorboards and much more in stead of trying to sell it for re-use/recycling or give it away to needy people.
I know, in our part of the world, we try a lot harder to save the planet by recycling lietrally everything which is probably why my heart aches watching how you don't care.
Otherwise they deserve every credit, they get for all the hard work and creative ideas.

After the 20th Awesome and all the shrieking, you have to wonder if the dialog is fake! or are they mentally teenagers.....
Home improvement show that that features an adorable couple renovating houses. If you're more into relationship stories than swinging a hammer, this is for you. Segments are include conversations with the audience.
It's a good show for what it is, I just expected something different.

Wow this episode blew my mind. They actually catered to the renter . Pink in the fireplace ? C'mon Jenny listen to your husband ... think resale !!! The husband is more talented than Jenny . Her design makes me cringe along with always thinking about herself ....
