Why the story is very absurd? The cinematography is meh, AND THE VFX WHAT THE MAN? The villain is very noob, the story is too fast, the villain just like a cameo(The appearance is brief). The main character's motivation that comes from his father doesn't really affect the whole story in the film. The VFX is really messed up, really bad, just look like "sinetron" what the hell men. The cast are ok, not bad not good either, there are a few cameos which, in my opinion, are mediocre. In conclusion this film is really messed up with a story that is too rushed, The main character's motivation seems strange, the film is packaged very badly, especially in the vfx section, the acting is also mediocre. Oh yes, the comedy is too forced to exist. When in the serious part there is still comedy. I do not recommend you watch this film. Sorry for Atta Halilintar but the movie is meh :)
Whoever that gives this movie above 4 star is either have a severely brain damage or get money from the film company to talk some bs.
We should celebrate this movie as a sign of the rise of Indonesian film, yup we will see a great movie, a good one, an OK, the avarage, and yes the trashy unworthy film; and this movie is beneath unworthy.
I don't know what came through the head of its financier to have a crazy kind of courage at the first place for bringing money over this honest elementary school level class of writing. The idea it self its naive and cliché, yet it still quite entertaining if you a 10 years old kids with no other option of entertainment.
The cast it self is greatly ensamble with community centre acting class level. I bet whoever leads the crew to make this film its not considering to make a cinema worth works, but rather they just give in to do an honest works to pay the bill.

Watched just 30min-ish, was so boring. The story line was just flat and sometime confusing. It feels like a movie that was built to come out in the dead zone of winter. Crass, mawkish and annoyingly smug. A working concept. A wrongfully constructed movie. An overlong comedy about ignorant superheroes. The people who made the trailers for this movie seem to have a better idea of what it should be than the people who made the movie. I am not saying this Ashiap movie is not worth to watch, but putting some religious sauce into the scene just make it worse. There are just lot of other holiday movies much better than this.

I've just watched this film for 30 minutes, and to be honest I can't stand seeing the storyline and also the acting of the main character which is very bad, especially in scenes that should look badass instead it looks very cringy, and the storyline is too flat, really not a recommendation to watch,Jokes that are too forced, To be honest the other actors still look good compared to the main character, the acting looks fresher.
Yes, I should appreciate the rise of Indonesian films, but what's it worth, appreciating trash works that are just a waste of time, I don't think so, there are still many Indonesian films that are better and better appreciated than this film.

Wow, it's cool that Atta can make a film like this. Very funny and very entertaining anyway. The clash with the local superhero played by Atta is really cool, it's really funny but there's a lesson too, the story plot can also be captured well. The storm is really cool, the film really bounces. The players really animate the characters in the roles. The story plot is neatly and sweetly packaged and easy to catch for the audience. Zul's fighting spirit who never gives up in achieving his obsessions and dreams. This movie is really cool, Atta. Taking pictures is also really good. Cool production. The plot is good and the overall story is good.

This is one of the best movies of all time. It nearly gets me emotional of how much it does to me. I hope this director makes a sequel of ashiap man. This is peak cinema kino. I love it
Boy oh boy where do I even begin. Ashiap Man.. honey, my pookie bear. I have loved you ever since I first laid eyes on you. The way you drive into the paint and strike fear into your enemies eyes. Your silky smooth touch, and that gorgeous power. I would do anything for you. I wish it were possible to freeze time so I would never have to watch you die,
You had a rough childhood, but you never gave up hope. You are even amazing off the court, you're a great husband and father, sometimes I even call you dad. I forvever dread and weep, thinking of the day you will one day die. I would sacrifice my ownlife it were the only thing that could puta smile on your beautiful face.

I would say its a movie done with a passion. Some characters have done thier roles really well.. good actors too.. usually for a movie like this, they dont really consider good casting, but this was well done.. For me the VFX seemed ok as long as the storyline also has to do justice. Story line did justice to the expectation hence VFX is not a big deal for me. No klag.. no unnecessary parts, no boring stuff.. the length of movie is perfect as you dont wanna be watching something like this for too long, like the Indian ones.. this is much better in terms of not keeping the viewer waiting for too long.
Good to watch !!

This movie is a good start for Indonesia cinema and producer to develop good movie, good starter at least more people will produce movie!
The cast is also comes from well known names, can say this is a really interesting movie to be on your watchlist.
If you like to have a hero-comedy show on the watchlist, definitely this one is worth the try. Subjectively, this show is good!
Indonesia. You can produce better movies, keep improving the VFX, cast, acting skills and also the overall storyline development should be elaborated so people watching can be engaged and watch the show. Good work!!!!

While the film has its flaws, it provides enjoyable entertainment for those seeking a fun and lighthearted superhero experience. With refinements, Ashiap Man could become a stronger franchise. The film's blend of humor and action works well, though some jokes feel repetitive. Ashiap Man successfully entertains with exciting fight scenes and a charismatic lead, but its story could have used more originality. Despite this, the movie is a fun watch for fans of lighthearted action films. The action sequences in Ashiap Man are a highlight, showcasing impressive choreography for a local production. The story is simple but engaging, making it an easy watch. The humor lands well, though some emotional moments feel underdeveloped. Overall, it's a solid superhero film with potential for future installments.

ATTA'S film presents itself as a fresh and daring attempt to bring a locally crafted superhero to Indonesian audiences. While the film thrives on its humor and action sequences, it sometimes struggles to balance its comedic and dramatic tones. The protagonist's journey from an ordinary individual to a determined hero is one of the film's most compelling aspects. His growth throughout the movie serves as an inspiration, reinforcing the idea that heroism is more about inner strength and perseverance than extraordinary powers. However, the screenplay sometimes lacks depth, making certain character motivations feel unclear or underdeveloped. The humor, though often effective, occasionally feels overused, disrupting the film's momentum. On a technical level, the cinematography is colorful and dynamic, contributing to the film's energetic atmosphere. Some action scenes are well-executed, but others feel overly choreographed, making them less immersive. The supporting cast plays an important role in adding layers to the story, yet their character arcs could have been expanded to add more emotional weight. The antagonist, while serving as an adequate foil to the protagonist, lacks a truly engaging backstory, which lessens the impact of the final confrontation. The soundtrack, though enjoyable, does not leave a lasting impression. Despite these flaws, Ashiap Man delivers an uplifting message about perseverance, hard work, and believing in oneself. If future installments can refine the storytelling, enhance character depth, and improve action choreography, the franchise has the potential to become a staple in Indonesian cinema.

This film is hilarious, heartfelt, and proudly local. The film captures the essence of what makes everyday people heroic-not superpowers, but courage, kindness, and persistence. The main character is someone we all recognize: not perfect, not confident, but willing to try. The writing is sharp and full of quotable lines, especially if you're familiar with the local slang. The action is modest but creatively done, and the emotional beats land surprisingly well. It's a film made with love, and it shows. More than just a parody or a comedy, "Ahsiap Man" is a celebration of community and identity.

While the humor and action sequences undoubtedly provide an entertaining spectacle that resonates with a broad, mainstream audience, the film ultimately falls short of its potential by neglecting to delve deeper into the psychological landscape of its protagonist. The current narrative structure relies heavily on external excitement and comedic moments, which, although undeniably engaging, create a somewhat superficial viewing experience that skims the surface of what could have been a profoundly transformative cinematic journey. By prioritizing rapid-fire jokes and high-octane action set pieces, the filmmakers have inadvertently sacrificed the opportunity to explore the nuanced emotional terrain that might have elevated the story from merely entertaining to truly memorable and impactful.
The protagonist's character arc, while ostensibly dynamic, lacks the intricate emotional architecture that would have transformed his journey from a simple adventure into a deeply resonant personal odyssey. More specifically, the screenplay could have benefited immensely from introducing more substantive personal stakes that illuminate the character's internal struggles, motivations, and psychological transformations. Instead of presenting the hero as a two-dimensional archetype moving through a series of exciting but ultimately disconnected challenges, the narrative could have integrated more meaningful personal consequences that force the protagonist to confront his deepest fears, challenge his fundamental beliefs, and undergo a genuinely profound character metamorphosis.
By adding layers of emotional complexity and psychological depth, the filmmakers would have created a more compelling narrative framework that goes beyond mere surface-level entertainment. The potential for character development is substantial, yet the current approach seems content to prioritize spectacle over substance. A more nuanced exploration of the hero's inner world-his doubts, vulnerabilities, personal sacrifices, and ultimate redemption-would have transformed the film from a straightforward action-comedy into a multi-dimensional narrative that resonates on both intellectual and emotional levels.
Moreover, the missed opportunities for deeper character exploration extend beyond the protagonist's individual journey. The supporting characters, too, appear to be rendered in broad, almost caricature-like strokes, lacking the subtlety and complexity that could have enriched the overall narrative texture. By developing these peripheral characters with more psychological depth and interconnected motivations, the film could have created a more intricate web of relationships and emotional interactions that would have added significant weight and authenticity to the storytelling.
The potential for a more profound narrative is particularly evident in the film's thematic undercurrents. Beneath the veneer of humor and action lies a promising foundation for exploring complex themes of personal growth, resilience, and transformation. However, these themes are currently treated as peripheral elements rather than being integrated as the core driving force of the narrative. A more intentional approach to character development would have allowed these thematic elements to breathe and expand, creating a richer, more intellectually and emotionally engaging cinematic experience.
In essence, while the current iteration of the film successfully delivers entertainment through its humor and action sequences, it represents a missed opportunity for more meaningful storytelling. The fundamental elements for a truly exceptional narrative are present-a charismatic protagonist, intriguing plot dynamics, and a promising thematic framework-but they remain frustratingly underdeveloped. By investing more time and creative energy into exploring the emotional and psychological dimensions of the characters, the filmmakers could have transformed what is currently a competent but ultimately forgettable piece of cinema into a genuinely memorable and impactful work of storytelling.
Ultimately, the film serves as a reminder of the delicate balance required in crafting narratives that are both entertaining and emotionally resonant. It demonstrates that true cinematic excellence emerges not just from external excitement and comedic moments, but from a deep, empathetic understanding of human complexity, personal growth, and the intricate emotional landscapes that define our most transformative experiences.

While the premise of Ashiap Man is engaging, the film falls into some predictable storytelling patterns. The protagonist's arc is enjoyable, but some of the supporting characters lack depth, making them feel one-dimensional. However, the strong visual effects and dynamic cinematography help keep the audience entertained. The action choreography is a highlight, featuring well-executed stunts that add excitement. The humor is a mix of slapstick and situational comedy, which may not work for everyone, but it contributes to the film's lighthearted tone. The film might not be groundbreaking, but it delivers an entertaining experience for superhero movie enthusiasts.

The movie's marketing campaign created high expectations, but the final product does not fully live up to the hype. While enjoyable, it leaves room for improvement in key areas. Ashiap Man delivers an engaging action-comedy that captures the essence of a classic superhero tale. The film's pacing is uneven, and the story could have used more depth, but its charming cast and fun action sequences make it worth watching. The movie highlights Indonesia's potential in the superhero genre. Ashiap Man brings a fresh take on the Indonesian superhero genre. While the story is somewhat predictable, the film's heart and energy make it enjoyable. The protagonist's journey is inspiring, though the supporting characters could have had stronger arcs.

The supporting characters add to the humor and charm of the film, but they often feel underutilized. Expanding their roles and giving them meaningful contributions to the plot would have made the film more engaging. Ashiap Man brings a fresh take to the local superhero genre with its blend of action and comedy. The film's energy is infectious, making it an entertaining ride from start to finish. However, its reliance on predictable plot points prevents it from standing out completely. The lead actor gives an engaging performance, but some of the supporting characters lack development. The action sequences are well-executed, and the cinematography is visually appealing. The humor, while effective in many scenes, sometimes overshadows emotional moments that could have added more depth. Overall, it's a fun and enjoyable film, but it could have benefited from a stronger narrative structure.
