I really loved almost every stand-up comedy with Bert Kreischer. He has a way to bring his shows that stands out from the rest. He's never afraid of some self-deprivation, showing his not so perfect body and so on. But I enjoy the rest he does lesser. Well I still enjoy it but his stand-up comedies are just much better and he should stick with that. His reality shows look forced and rehearsed, and so was The Cabin. Nothing looked spontaneous and that's a letdown. His guests are good comedians as well (most of them) so that was interesting to watch. The third episode with Bobby Lee was the best in my opinion. All in all it's worth a watch if you don't mind Bert's nudity but it wasn't hilarious like he seems to think. Even his laughter looks and sounds rehearsed and that should for sure be spontaneous.
I was fortunate to discover Bert "The Machine" Kreischer in the middle of quarantine. His humor, amazing giggle and having no shame in displaying his body always makes me laugh. I did not know this show was coming out, but I was ecstatic when I saw Netflix promoting it.
I watched all of the episodes in one day, but some left me with a sour taste in my mouth. The problem with some of the episodes is that some people are brought together who should not even be in the same room. Kaley Cuoco and Ms. Pat's episode was very awkward and, at times, hard to watch as a viewer. Both come from different backgrounds and this was clear through what Ms. Pat said and how her humor was perceived. As a viewer, it was really hard to tell when she was joking or being serious. Bert even admitted it was a failure pairing them together because they are so different, but they were still kind to one another and Kaley Cuoco was very polite.
Certain episodes were absolutely amazing though. I would say 3/5 had me laughing the entire time. Certain pairings worked really well too: Nikki Glaser and Caitlyn Jenner were amazing together. Bert paired his friends with others they had never met, but he also included people he was unfamiliar with. The first episode is one of the best because they are all amazing friends and used to each other's idiosyncrasies. Each episode has a different feeling as different people add distinctive energies.
I have read in some of the other reviews that the show is staged and that is completely true. This reminded me somewhat of Jack Whitehall's Travels With My Father in that way. I don't mind that certain skits or events are staged because it is still very entertaining. Other viewers can say that bothers them and that is completely fine, but I still very much enjoyed it.
I definitely suggest to watch the show! I think you will very much enjoy it, but watch out for episode 4!!!

I laughed quite a bit (the first episode being the funniest) and yes, certain parts were obviously scripted; didn't care much for those segments, but they weren't bad enough to make me turn the program off.
Honestly, thought it could have been done better. More discussions, less activities. Fishing, hot tub, skinning and cooking animals while cracking jokes and then sitting eating, drinking, smoking cigars while telling funny stories and occasionally getting deep would have been better. P.S. Everyone offended by Ms. Pat clearly has never seen her perform before..that's just her; she's like that around everyone. When it's her and other comedians cracking on each other, it's funny, but it can come off mean when "normies" are involved. Bert should've known better than bringing a non-comedian around Ms. Pat.

As a huge fan of 2 Bears 1 Cave, I could not get past the first episode. If you know Bert from the podcasts, you know right off the bat that's a fake show. As soon as he facetimed with his wife, you could see the b.s in the air.
I read every review. I feel like they are all correct in what they pick out about what works and what utterly fails in this series. Where I digress is in the scoring. The show is cringey, hack, contrived, it lacks the refined delivery of a standup special, or the spontaneity of a podcast and there is no narrative through line. There are silly, sometimes revealing bits, that occasionally give the viewer pause. Overall, it feels thrown together, a tad exploitative (as most reality tv tends to). Potential was there, and sometimes you see glimpses of what it could have been, but altogether it's a not-so-near miss. I suppose how much you hate it depends on how much you like the podcast circuit regulars. If I could give half stars, it would be a 6.5/10.
