French Comedy '' Only Thirty Days Left '' (30 jours max) is a police comedy utilizing the trope of false terminal illness diagnosis.

The movie is a fun watch, with some truly laugh out loud jokes, others a bit too crude and try hards, but those were few, so the rest of the movie was an entertaining comedy.

The performances were also great, with every actor and actress in the cast doing a good job with their characters, without overdoing it with the comedy, which came more organically rather than by the caricatures of the characters.

So, overall, seven out of ten for the french movie '' 30 jours max ".

I almost failed to watch this film due to the low star-average, but then I saw the very low score given by the top 1000 reviewers (likely American teenagers who are into Batman and stuff) and I decided to watch it.

If you are not into French comedies, don't bother. If you are like me - an admirer of their nonchalant, sometimes absurd, sometimes silly, often surprising humour - then you are in for a treat. Both my wife and I laughed out loud quite a few times. The characters are caricatures - of course - but this adds to the fun. Don't expect it all to make sense or to be Hollywood style, linear, and with a clear moral at the end. The French poke fun at everything and everybody.

The film was entertaining and funny in a silly way. Just what I needed on a Sunday evening to relax and unwind.

Def would recommend it and the main actor is an eye candy, so... enjoyment was full.

Plus that Dame Janette from movie Visitors also stars as his grandmother (mamie).

At the start of the film I was frankly persuaded to be in front of a rude super heavy turnip, but in the end I had a good laugh. This story of a too nice and a little silly cop who believing to have only 30 days to live finally finds the courage to impose himself and to face all the dangers is in a cartoonish spirit, with many guests and turns out to be a good entertainment.
