Little Mix star Jesy Nelson wasn't able to attend Sunday's MTV European Music Awards due to an illness. News of the illness comes just after she also missed the final of the group's brand-new show, Little Mix: The Search, which naturally left their fans pretty concerned. The show follows the girls on their quest to find the next hottest band and gives fans a glimpse into their friendship and life on the road, and it showcases just how much they've all grown since the days of The X Factor.

A rep from the band revealed in a statement: "Jesy is unwell and will not be appearing on tonight's final of Little Mix The Search. She will also not be hosting or performing at tomorrow's MTV EMAs."...

Production on BBC One talent show “Little Mix The Search” has been postponed after a “small number of people” tested positive for coronavirus.

The production tweeted a statement on Wednesday that said: “We can confirm that a small number of people on Little Mix The Search production have tested positive for coronavirus and they are now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.”

“Due to the format of the show we have made the decision to postpone Saturday’s programme. There are rigorous protocols in place to manage Covid-19 as the safety of all those involved in the production is paramount,” the statement added.

“We hope to be back on air Saturday 24th October.”

The news comes just one day after crew members on the Christmas special edition of “Britain’s Got Talent” contracted coronavirus and production was halted.

BBC One’s Little Mix The Search has become the latest entertainment show to grind to a halt in the UK after an outbreak of coronavirus.

The show, fronted by girl group Little Mix and made by ModestTV, has postponed this weekend’s episode after a “small number” of crew members tested positive for Covid-19. It will return October 24.

Those affected are self-isolating, the show said in a statement. It added: “Due to the format of the show we have made the decision to postpone Saturday’s program. There are rigorous protocols in place to manage Covid-19 as the safety of all those involved in the production is paramount.”
