This short represents an effort to stay truthful to the Alienverse and to James Cameron's Aliens that marked an entire generation. Even with a very low budget it was possible to bring forth a solid story, good performances and a great CGI environment. A definite win!

First of all, I'm a sucker for horror and sci-fi movies. Second, I LOVE the Alien series. To me this looks and sounds like the first episode of the announced tv series, that Disney is going to trow at us, next year. I´m good with that, if not...just stick with this movie and you will have a blast, i did.

The visuals in this movie are awesome, for a short movie it surprised me a lot, i was expecting that this wasn´t going to be good...but...was i wrong. It´s solid entertainment all the way, since we start at space station north star, until they arrived at planet xenon, it´s time for war once again, it reminded me a lot of Aliens, loved the scenes they did inside the apc. If this movie was a feature film, and they had a bigger budget, i really don´t know where this director would take us...

All in all i´d give this movie a 9 out of 10, because has short movies go, this is top notch quality.

If you love the aliens franchise see this movie, you won´t be disappointed.

To me this is not just a short film it is an experience, never saw until today such a cool tribute to the aliens franchise like this. The lieutenant is our main hero and he kicks ass with a new weapon like the pulse rifle, very cool as the other one, killing aliens left and right (they are all over the place). When the action starts, you're in for the ride of your life. The post-credits scene is for the ages.

Final Grade: 8/10

There's some amazing combination of animatronics, and miniatures used in this short film from the drop ship to the amazing face huggers to the queen alien. As you watch the 36 minutes of unbelievable action in this tribute to the alien franchise, you can feel the love for the xenomorph here, the alien queen is simply amazingly done.

All in All, 10/10 an amazing journey into the alien world.

9.7 - A really true surprise of the independent portuguese cinema, directed by Rui Constantino (fix this name, you'll hear about him in the future), which is a kind of "hommage" to the work masterpiece of James Cameron - ALIENS! In fact, it's a short film, made with scarse resources, but with a very high quality degree achieved. Point out to the level of intensity, which comes to the situation where you end up vibrating when seeing this small work, to the point of being really thrilling to watch! For that much contributes the excelent soundtrack and level of sound effects of this picture and the acting of the main actor, who becames a true "RAMBO ALIEN KILLER"! Recommended viewing!!!

Alien: Redemption takes the Alien franchise to places fans would never have dreamed, without compromising the key elements of the Alien world, and does it successfully. This tribute is a delight to fans eyes, who loved Aliens, will love this. A trully blessed christmas gift. The action sequences are quite good, the story here is once again solid and convincing, and the performances are still the top row quality you expected from this line.

We must see this short movie the way shorts go, it´s full of value. With this tiny budget they did wonderfull things, delivering the goods in a way, i was not expecting at all, it surprised me a lot. Combining the aliens atmosphere so well, the details of the walls, the new weapon, that special scene in the post-credits, an amazing, amazing job here.

i can only give this short 10/10.

This new installment in the Alien series, even as a short movie, takes us on a journey to familiar places, we´ve been before, by the time the action starts it's impossible to forget it. The special effects are remarkable, for a low budget i mean, it´s incredible what they done here, seen it already 4 times, and every time i see it, i find something new. You will be blown away by the effects and design of the sets and the great action sequences they have with the aliens. Look out for the post-credits scenes, they are so great

With Aliens as the best sci fi picture of all time, my rating for this is 9, because it really take us there again, and we see another mission with marines, and Weyland-Yutani Corp. taking over things again.

Don't even ask me how and why I watched this film but i watched it front to end. I love good ole cheesy B-film. There is an honesty to them and boy this one was forthright for sure. Would Love to see more from this director because I haven't laughed so much in a long time. Thank you for keeping the genre alive and true to silliness while forking over truth bombs.

A glorious redemption of this franchise, i think they did a really good job here, the effects are good, story, characters, aliens, sets, spacheships, egg silo, engineers. i hope there´s another one, i don´t mind to see one each year, it looked like a tv pilot episode.

Visually superior to Alien 3 and maybe 4, this was a mix of the first two The creatures are awesome, i love this movie because of the great Special Effects, the great story and the cool characters of the movie. A satisfying, never boring, wonderful film. Hopefully not the final one.

Great short movie, it looks like a very big budget movie, the sets are incredible. The camera moves around slowly and quietly, exploring this place, and it makes us want to be there. It´s nonstop action that is actually paced quite well and feels very intense.

I think I'll watch it again now., and again. An excellent short of the Aliens World

I´ve seen it, and it´s everything we could ever want from an Aliens movie. Now i will have to wait to buy it on blu-ray, and see how they did it. The portuguese director and his team have made a great short movie.

One of the most interesting stories of Aliens, i´ve seen many short movies of Aliens, but never one like this. The company is back to investigate the aliens and a group of colonists pay the ultimate price, as soldiers of the company go to investigate the problem. A terrific movie.

This short movie brings us what we love in Aliens and even more, somethings here i never saw in the franchise, the egg silo is one of them, fantastic set pieces. Forget about horror, this is a sequel to the military power of Weyland yutani corportation on colonizing worlds. We have it all here, hi-tech weapons, spaceships, the incredible apc, the dropship and the marines, even the engineer in the post-credits scene is awesome.

Give this short movie a chance, is that great, it´s a well-made sequel and well worth seeing.

It's a fantastic film with some genuinely suspenseful and visually it was a pleasure to watch, making this director just as much an artist as Cameron or Scott were. Let's just say Alien and Aliens are classics, and this guy brought to us the best of both worlds, in one single short movie, on how to teach Disney, how you can make a cool and great story of Aliens. Beautiful sets, and effects, i can´t believe they only spent 5,000 doing this, it´s an amazing job of everyone involved. Loved the post-credits scene so much....Aliens will never die, they just keep coming back for more.

It's a fun action film and intense as all the Alien sequels, will buy it as soon as it gets out. The lieutenant is a badass with is super weapon wasting Aliens. This is one of those rare short movies that involves the audience so completely in the story. If you're looking for pure cinematic entertainment then look no further!!

Perfect direction. Beautiful cinematography. Intense characters. Big guns. Action. Aliens all over the place, one of the best Queen´s i´ve ever seen before. This movie rocks, scares you right on to your face, very mysterious, have tons of special effects, the acting is good.

Watch all the Alien movies, and then this one, and you will feel very satisfied. When you put your heart into doing something memorable, people will remember your name, and this director will be remembered.

This short movie works at every level, it takes us on an alternative storyline, were Weyland-Yutani corporation rises, once again, from the ashes of time, to discover and experiment more on the aliens. A great spin-off movie from fans to fans.
