Beautiful movie, Humour was on point. Pretty good character arc and a strong message. Hope SK holds up the streak. And a remarkable job by CIBI. Also IMBEEDI allow for shorter reviews.

Good story, funny execution and extraordinary climax portion. The first half till interval it goes like a serial/stage comedy show... Some funny moments are really likeable, like the parent meeting with Suri. Most of SJ Surya acting in first half is comic than terror. The saving grace in first half is that you can relate atleast one character crossed in everyone's college life.

The actual story and some nice sequences starts in the second half only. Some respectful acting of SJ Surya and self realising sequences are captured very well.

The last 40 minutes are make this movie more worthy and make us forgot all the mistakes in the previous portions.

Worth the watch.

The director probably tried to sneak as much as comedy in this film which made it into a mess!

Everything was good enough to make family audience happy!

But there was a lot of illogical scenes in this movie! The student vs principal thing would never happen in reality!

The only good thing in this film is SK, Ani's Music and last 20 minutes!

The father sentiment worked really well!

It's just an ordinary movie comedy works at some areas first half good entertainer like typical tamil cinema second half full of emotions. Nice acting and one time watchable. Emotions connected very well in last few minutes👍🏻

Surprisingly , a well made entertainer . Emotion , Comedy , Romance , action , motivation everything was very well balanced . Story was pretty simple, it was inspired from the director's life ( Cibi )and he presented it well . Cat and mouse between SK and SJ Surya was really intresting . 1st half was completely filled entertaining elements plus few dose of cringe too . 2nd half was also entertaining and at same time motivating . Last 20mins emotional scenes really worked well . Eventhough Comedy was bit cringe it worked in most of the places . Performance wise SK , SJ Surya and Samuthirakani were show stealers , their characters were very well designed . Eventhough Priyanka had less screentime her characterisation was pretty impressive . Again Anirudh with his music just rocked it . 2hrs 43mins runtime was too long . Overall a well made entertainer . After some disappointing commercial movies in Kollywood, this movie is a well made one . I hope Don will satisfy audience in every aspects .

Movie is really enjoyable ...The first half is filled with fun and entertainment in Second half its sentimental that worked out well ...SK , Samudrakani , Sj Surayah And Anirudh are backbones of the movie .. Good Debut for Cibi ✨

College Don is the movie I needed to see . The first half of the movie itself is Comic Relief of the Movie ,laughed all the way through Intermission. Some scenes are straight up absurd. The love story was good .S J Surya gave a great performance as Principle but the highlight of the movie is the father son relationship between Sivakarthikeyan and Samuthrakani.

Oh my... Samuthrakani's performance is top notch and I understood why is he so hot right now as he's in every other movie I watch. The second half slowly turns into drama and by the time of the climax it takes complete 180 and turns really dark in a good way. This type of Father Son dyanamic is not new but this movie is different in my opinion ,it is so relatable and at times I was watching myself on the big screen and by the end made to think and appreciate my father a bit more.

My Nitpicks are some absurd scenes and a few characters which I was not into and my main nitpick is Anirudh's music , which is not bad but I felt it was basic and generic. I had high expectations from him after the massive success of Beast(by the way I keep the Beast Album on loop at night while sleeping every day since past month) and his consistent great music albums which are completely new and different from each other. Maybe I had unrealistic expectations , maybe this movie really didn't need Beast or Master level Albums whatever ,the fact I didn't like the music remains...

A Usual story perceived well, written the best with comedy, romance, and emotions. The precise screenplay flowed the movie with no lags. Best acting by Sivakarthikeyan. Sivakarthikeyan and SJ Suryah opponents the scenes equally and gave out their best performances. As usual, Samuthirakani did his best in his foremost role. Adorable acting by Priyanka Mohan. From comedy, romance, songs, and emotional scenes everything has worked out well. Good editing & cinematography and fair bgm. The director did his best on comedy and emotions, where the emotion hits us at the best part which carries out till the last. Fun-filled ride with heaps of pressed components made the film the best engaging and Entertaining.

Eventhough SK & other actors did theirpart well, the movie second half is a drag , poor writing, predictable scenes. First half tries to cover up with some decent comedy. Your target audience is looking for fun with bit of surprises and sentiments - yes screenplay had those elements but was not presented well.

I think the director might have missed out his real talent in his college.

Watching the film is a bad way to waste 2 hours of your time. A colorful movie doesn't equate to a movie being well directed. If that was so, I can just smear all colors on a canvas, make it colorful, record it for 2 hrs and call it a movie. I wonder how directors such as these even make it to the industry. Guess nepotism is all that's required. Movies such as these make other good tamil movies get an infamy for being stupid, regressive and discourage audience from watching them.

The movie revolves around a college and aimless protogonist who is seek to find his own talent... But his strict dad refusing his wishes and follow his dream profession.. Meanwhile his college principal against him to study in college.. One time watchable movie 🎬...!

Initially the movie seems to follow a overdone formula but it shines in the second half. From start to finish it keeps you engaged and the last 30-40 minutes is where all it's strength lies and is an emotional rollercoaster.

A nice movie with a lot of fun filled in it. Each character will surely resemble in your life. The movie will bring back a lot of memories about your school and college life. SK SJ real good combination. The new people like sivaangi have given a great boost. The end of the movie does have a emotion filled package and a great message for the present society. The movie runs almost 2:45 hrs but the team has never given a chance to feel bored. The story is really written very well and the screen play is awesome. Samuthrakani does a promising character. And does a totally different role from his nature. Go and enjoy the movie with your family and friends.

The movie has all the emotions from fun to romance to hard hitting emotions. Complete good entertainer along with hard hitting climax which will definitely move you.

I really don't understand how Sivakarthikeyan chose this movie after doing a fine movie like Doctor.

Movie is awesome and wonderful. Sivakarthikeyan has performed well and SJ Suryah antogonist role and his acting super. Movie is great to watch and wonderful entertainment. Finally 9/10 . 5/10 for Sivakarthikeyan Sir and 4/10 for SJ Suryah Sir. Continues Blockbuster for Sivakarthikeyan Sir.

I expected a normal commercial movie with lot of cringe comedies and a weak plot. But this film is very good film it have lot of good comedy and lot of emotional scenes. Anirudh songs and bgm is very well. The 1 st half have cliché scenes but it doesn't matter the comedy worked very well. When coming to 2nd half the film becomes more emotional and those scenes worked well. All the actors did good performance especially sj surya, sk and samuthirakani. The film gave us a good message. A good debut for the director.
