I like Mahesh Babu and all but man, he roles are getting monotonous lately. He has played this, the perfect guy kind of character like a million times. Doesn't he get tired of playing the same thing over and over again, same with Prakesh Raj, I feel like I've seen him play the villian a gazillion times and done it better before.
First off, the movie is super long and it doesn't have to be. The train scenes are the most unnecessary, unfunny, cringey scenes I've seen in a long time. It ran for almost 40 minutes, and nothing really happens that move the plot forward. You could take out the scenes and the movie will be as it is. The lead female, that is, if you can call her role "lead", is moronic and juvenile. She set eyes on the main character and then she literally spent the entire time looking for his attention and chasing him all over the place even though he adamantly told her he wasn't interested in her. I find it to be insulting as the character serves no purpose other than eye candy.
Our main character is your typical telegu main character who is perfect in everything he does; he beats up a hundred goons without breaking a sweat; he threatens and beats up police officers and lawyers and talked to minister as he like with no further consequences, not only is it unrealistic but also cartoonish and unconvincing. The villian is also the typical corrupt politician, he has power, money and everything but can't take out one guy, I mean doesn't guns exist?, is this the middle age where everyone uses sword? Just shoot him for God's sake. Haha.
The music is meh, but the background score is good tho at times distracting. I like the professor, 'cause her character is much more developed. The acting is good from the leads but they've done the roles many times so that's not surprising. The use of comedy is predictable and the jokes mostly didn't land.
The whole message about patriotism and the soldier's life and all wasn't that glamorous and could have been told better. I think it was told better in Akshay Kumar's Holiday.

But this movie is best comedy movie of 2020 jitna apko f2 ne hasya tha utna ye movie bhi hasyegi dont miss this
Honest review,
15% comedy
10% Flying fights
5% Showoff bakwas
70% waste of time
It's been a while some MB did something else other than these "save the village/state/family movies". This is yet another in the same genre. I expected there to be something worth watching. Unfortunately, there's none.
The comedy is not funny, the fights are as usual. The 'hero save the family' story is historic. The songs are neither good nor catchy. The background score is repetitive.
This movie is a routine movie that has a routine story and routine direction. The only thing that might excite fans is Mahesh Babu's new avatar that has not been seen since Dookudu and Khaleja in 2010 and 2011. Also the military part of the movie barely has anything to do with the film.
Summary: The movie is routine and has absolutely nothing to offer and on top of that there are major directorial and screenplay flaws. Move starts out well but then train comedy comes in the way which absolutely has nothing to do with the damn movie. Then interval bang comes which was good but after that the second half was had bad screenplay. And then comes the last 30 minutes which made half the people leave in the theatre. That's how terrible it was.
In Depth Analysis:
1st half: Movie starts off well by showing the main conflict and opening Mahesh in extreme "vetakaaram." Then out of nowhere the heroine enters and there is this whole scene of comedy in the train for a good 30 minutes. The scene had absolutely nothing to do with it except that they are using it for comedy. The elevations at the pre interval scene were executed much better than other films although it is very routine.
Train Comedy: Not going to lie but the train comedy was extremely funny even though it had nothing to the movie. Mahesh's reaction and expression to what was happening around him was absolutely hilarious. If Anil Ravipudi had put this same instance where this would perfectly blend in with the movie it would've been one of the main plus points.
2nd half: The second half is below average. It starts with an emotional scene and absolutely goes all over the place after that. The screenplay does build up on each other but the director has added many many unnecessary characters and scenes such as Subbaraju's and Vennela Kishore's character only for comedy and elevations; which disturbs the movie. Many people might not like the whole film just because of the crazy second half.
Last 30 minutes: What the hell was the director thinking. This part is absolute crap. It was trying to make comedy but contrastingly it made me and everyone else watching cry. Did the director just make this to extend the movie or to kill the audience completely?
Overall it was routine movie and you can watch if you want to see some good comedy and Mahesh's mass avatar.
