Unlike other viewers, I would definitely class this as a kid's movie. There were a number of overused kid-movie tropes that no one would employ in a movie intended for adults.

The two lead kids were both quite talented; the other kids, less so. The adult characters tended to be very one-dimensional, as in most kid movies.

On the whole, I wouldn't bother to go unless you are taking the kids. If you do have kids to take, it is by no means painful to watch and the movie will definitely leave you with some things to discuss with them.

I saw this movie at TIFF. Although it was advertised as a children movie, I thought the ending is too sad and touching for the little ones. This is a story about loosing someone close, about how you cope with grief. It can be fun for kids but grownups will see so much more. Congrats to the director.

Just came from the screening and it was a truly beautiful movie... There were a few scenes where it could've been better, and it was a bit slow paced, but the ending was worth it and it made me tear up... Hard recommend!
