Irena Sendler was married from 1931-1947 to Mieczyslaw Sender. Then from 1947-1961 she was married to Stefan Zgrzembski, whom she had 3 children with. After Stefan's death in 1961, Sender remarried Mieczyslaw, only to divorce again in 1971.
