Harris, his wife, his German half-sister, and her friend arrive at a distant Aegean island, accessible only by boat. But Harris gets stung by a bee, and he develops an allergy. Suddenly, secrets come into the open.

Under the hot August sun, against the backdrop of a secluded islet squeezed between the picturesque islands of the Aegean Sea, Charis, an acclaimed author allergic to bee stings, finds himself confronted with an unforeseen complication and his worst fears. Now, stranded on the islet's sandy beach, along with his neurotic wife Vasoula, his German half-sister Hildegard, and her eccentric mute psychiatrist friend Maria, Charis will have to cope with the symptoms of anaphylactic shock. Suddenly, the dream evolves into a nightmare, and the marooned holidaymakers are running out of time.
