Richard Ayoade reprised his role as Moss in in the U.S. remake The IT Crowd (2006). Following the pilot, NBC ordered a full season, which was soon scrapped after the channel's new management took over. Ayoade later regretted his involvment in the remake, saying "I was the only one dumb enough to do it. It was deeply weird."
