Are you kidding me? The plot makes zero sense and the ending is even worse. The acting, effects, and plot were on the top five worst of all time. I would like to recommend this movie to someone so that they could see it and possibly offer some insight into what the director was thinking. The movie is supposed to be some sort of insight as to what would happen if a reality show participant cracked, which seems like a decent enough plot line, but then things start happening for no reason whatsoever. Characters die off for no reason and without any explanation of who killed them or why. What's worse is that the killer's identity is never really explained (motivation wise). They add some sort of "plot twist" with some woman saying there were other people involved, but these people are never identified, shown, or even hinted at. Seriously, don't ever watch this movie.
(2005) Safety In Numbers
HORROR/ THRILLER
Low-budget straight-to-rental film co-produced, written and directed by David J. Douglas from Australia involves a group of teens visiting an island after one of them wins a million dollars at a "Survivors" game show. Upon going over there, an unknown jealous opponent waits for them to go there to take them all out for the reason of being a sore loser. Oh yeah, and tensions clash among the groups when their beach resort unknowingly blows up- they pointlessly blame each other. If you don't mind a movie with a lot of pointless babbling (to identify with the characters and it's situations) this film might be for you, otherwise use a "fast-forward" button while playing which is what I did and still be able to make out what was going on. Stupid beyond belief that there were times, I had to press my hand onto my head. Bomb.

Great to see a adult movie without all that excess blood and gore. Believable story with no supernatural. You will watch it right to the end. What should be a happy return for the group that made a reality show on a island turns to life threatening problems when someone tries to kill them. It is good to see a girl saving the day rather then the normal guy and the girls being hopeless. Excellent acting and production values. Loved the background music. Women would love this show and guys will be happy with the classy actresses. End leaves things unanswered for the sequel. I think the last ones did survive but we will have to wait and see. Well worth a look.
Six former reality-TV stars (three female & three male) from 'Castaway Island' are whisked away to a seemingly deserted island for a reunion show. Once there, they're hunted and killed one by one. Could it be this Wesley guy that everyone thinks is crazy or someone else entirely? The better question is will you even care to find out one way or the other?
Proving that America doesn't have a monopoly of unoriginal, hideously contrived, badly acted and scare free B-horror films, this Australian travesty rears it's ugly head to further trivialize and dumb down fans of the horror genre. This relatively blood-free, heavily clichéd mockery is deathly boring on top of all that and to add insult to injury, the ending doesn't make a lick of sense
My Grade: F+

Truly one of the worst movies I have seen in years. There is absolutely no tension, shocks or scares. The cast members are despatched in an entirely perfunctory and unimaginative fashion.
The story and scripting is stupid beyond belief. At one point a character falls off a cliff and instead of trying to help him the girl he is with runs miles back to the camp to tell the others that he has fallen off a cliff. They don't actually decide to do anything about it and then seem entirely unsurprised when he shows up again with what appear to be only minor injuries (a bit of a cut on the side of his head). And how come the female actors have American accents (sometimes in some cases) whilst the males speak with Australian accents? And don't get me started on the ending. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
I have seen infinitely better low budget films produced by students.
Avoid this at all costs.
A pretty good cast wasted.
