The weak acting, directing, camerawork, choreography, and story combined with massive logic fails and plot inconsistencies make this seem like school kids making a movie in their back yard, yet for some reason it's still enjoyable despite the very rough edges.
There's nothing wrong with the English dub (though I only listened to it for a few minutes for the sake of determining how good or bad it was) but the setting calls for the added authenticity of the original Japanese dialog.
I wouldn't exactly recommend this first of a four movie series it but it's a better way to spend an hour and 15 minutes than scrolling on your phone.

basically, the Shinobi are the lowest of the low in the ninja class and are essentially considered cannon fodder and sent on the most dangerous missions that missions that higher classes will not go on.they are disposable and expendable, and they live to serve their masters.they are born into this class, and no matter how skilled they are,can not rise to a higher class,so are destined to die in that class.the events in the movie take place hundreds of years ago and focus on one particular fighter and his struggles with his destiny nd and obeying the law of the land.i enjoyed the film.though there is one disturbing rape scene.otherwise,i thought the movie was well done.it's fairly short at about 75 minutes.there are two options of viewing the film, one with Japanese language and English Subtitles,or dubbed English.i picked English subtitles.anyway, for me,Shinobi:The Law of Shinobi is an 8/10
