After this show, two props were lost; drummer Neil Peart's rotating platform, and the carpet that was laid out on the stage. The driver driving the drum platform out of the stadium miscalculated the overhead clearance he had and the platform hit it, rolled off the trailer, and was destroyed on impact. The carpet got so soaked with water from the shows down there that it never dried out fully and weighed way too much to ship home, so it was left behind.
Due to the lack of a video check, a camera got in the way of Alex during the first set in a way that made him so visibly angry Geddy had to calm him down during the intermission.
This concert was recorded on the fly with no sound or video checks of any kind. Reportedly, the crew had a hard time driving from São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro, and by the time they arrived it was after noon, when they would've otherwise been close to done setting up. By the time they did get finished setting up, the crowd was gathering at the door, and there was no holding them back, so they were literally forced to go without a sound or video check.
The crowd in this concert is the second biggest crowd ever to see Rush and only Rush; over 40,000. The biggest was two nights earlier in Sao Paulo; 60,000. Rush has played for as-large or larger crowds in the past, but as part of rock festivals.
Rain threatened this show, as did the other two shows in Brazil (Porto Alegre and São Paulo), but it only hit during São Paulo.
