Robin Williams stars as a man whose job is to remove memory implants from the heads of deceased people and edit their memories into footage that are shown at their funerals. But, his life is soon in danger as a dark tragic secret from his childhood returns to haunt him and he gets targeted by a disillusioned former co-worker turned activist (Jim Caviezel) when he discovers that a deceased wealthy businessman sexually abused his daughter and that his former co-worker's discovery of the dead wealthy businessman's abuse of his daughter is the key in ridding society of all memory implants.
