This is utter brilliance. Ten years on its still as fresh, funny and excellent as it was when first done. Jim is Buttons in the classic tale, Jess Conrad is the prince (with tight clothing - watch it you'll see what i mean). the late charlie drake is utter brilliant as the baron. You'll have to watch it purely to see where he can remember the script. Script? there isn't one i don't think. a lot is ad-libbed which i think makes the show better and this is definitely one if you liked Jim Davidson in stand up. Please just don't watch it if you're offended easily as this is smutty, swearing and plain adult humour.
If you watch this, catch his other two adult pantos. Sinderella 2004 and Boobs in the wood as these are just as fresh, comical and adult.

Dirty, British humour at its best. The fact that out of the whole cast practically only Cinderella and Prince Charming are the only ones who actually seemed to be following the script like normal and that, according to my friend, at least Jim and Charlie Drake were tipsy throughout just makes the rest of the show even funnier, you never knew what was going to be said.
What makes this even more brilliant is just how much of it they got away with, the majority of the jokes both scripted and unscripted I think it's fair to say would not have been aired if this was done today. The stand out characters are definitely Baron Hard-On and the ugly step sisters, their goofs and unscripted moments are some of the funniest in the whole show that not only get me and the audience laughing but also any cast members sharing the stage with them in the scene, Jim Davidson is probably the most naughty with his jokes I am convinced he wasn't following the script 98% of the show with his best moment being right after the sisters rip up Cinderella's ticket it had me laughing so much I fell off my chair and made my sides ache.
If you're easily offended and don't like dirty humour or even dirty British humour then you shouldn't watch this but otherwise this is a genuinely laugh out loud show you must watch.

Let me start off by saying that I am not normally a fan of crude adult humor. I did, however, thoroughly enjoy this live pantomime. Some funny stuff indeed, and the energy is elevated by the laughter of a live crowd.
Some of the funniest parts are the 'goofs' in which you can't help but wonder if they were scripted. This live show gets better as it moves smoothly along. Aided by the smooth style of Jim Davidson(as 'Buttons)and the 'dry' acting of Charles Drake('Baron van Hard-on'). The first shots of Dianne Lee as Sinderella seem a little silly and maybe even awkward, but after a short while I really began to warm up to her 'Giggly' Dialogue. By the end of the show she was most definitely a star! This show has some great one-liners that are sure to stick with me for a while yet.
This is also, by far, Davidson's best show. Well worth a look!
