Love animation, it was a big part of my life as a child, particularly Disney, Looney Tunes, Hanna and Barbera and Tom and Jerry, and still love it whether it's film, television or cartoons. Actually appreciate it even more now through young adult eyes, thanks to broader knowledge and taste and more interest in animation styles and various studios and directors.
Chuck Jones deserved, and still deserves, to be considered one of the best, most legendary and most influential animation directors/animators. While not quite as distinctive in directing style as other directors from the same era, in his prime era he was responsible for some of the best cartoons ever made. Bugs Bunny is one of my favourite characters in animation and ever and Mel Blanc was one of the greatest voice actors ever. Also love mysteries.
'The Bugs Bunny Mystery Special' in no way sees either at their best very or the best representation. It is not bad at all though, actually very good, with a remarkably good and neatly atmospheric, if slightly too slight and episodic, story for the additional scenes
A lot of great things here. The animation has brightness and colour with some inventive moments, if not always refinement with some of the drawing scrappy. The music is lively enough and doesn't sound too cheap in the additional scenes, while being outstanding in orchestration and how it adds to and enhances the action in the featured cartoons.
Bugs is always worth watching, and that's an understatement, and he is still interesting and not out of character. Mel Blanc shows a mastery of bringing individuality to multiple characters that few others managed. The dialogue is sharp and witty and the gags are fast paced, beautifully timed and animated and very funny. None of the characters are wasted, with Elmer making the most impression.
The classic era cartoons featured are colourful and very funny to hilarious, with great dialogue and gags and iconic characters not wasted at all. All of them are incorporated well, though a few are on the too short side, and really like to love all of them.
All in all, remarkably very good. 8/10 Bethany Cox

I thought that the characters were really funny and all had great personalities. The animation in My opinion was crisp, clean, and really clear. Not to mention beautiful! Most of the characters in this show are hilarious Looney Tunes characters that we all love. in My opinion these characters are the funnies and talented ever seen. In fact, The things that goes on in this series' cartoons are in My opinion nuts which that is what makes them hilarious! There are so many to like and laugh at and the silly things they do! If you like the original Looney Tunes and animated films then I strongly recommend that you watch this movie today!
The Bugs Bunny Mystery Special (1980) is a comedy mystery TV Special with the Looney Tunes characters and it is the best one that I've watched so far in my binge section.
Positives for The Bugs Bunny Mystery Special (1980): I like how Porky Pig introduces the TV Special in a very Alfred Hitchcock way and I appreciate that as an Alfred Hitchcock fan. The TV Special is centered aeound this mystery of who this Tall Dark Man is and it was very thrilling. This mystery helps make the TV Special stand out from the others Looney Tunes Specials in a unique way. I also like how the shorts are focused on different situations while still taking place within the main mystery of the special. You still get some great humor and banger with these great characters. The special does a fantastic at balancing the comedy in this Hitchcock mystery. And finally, the eventually reveal of the Tall Dark Man was genuinely surprising while also still being very funny with its execution.
Overall, The Bugs Bunny Mystery Special (1980) is the best Looney Tunes TV Special I've watched and I appreciate the inspiration from Hitchcock with the mystery.
