Since the age of Ozturk Serengil and Vahi Oz comedies in '60s ; Aram Gulyuz added his signature to various Yesilcam comedy features. In '70s alongside with Sadri Alışık's last films before his death, Aram Gulyuz and Sadık Şendil had established the Zeki&Metin duo; which mostly resembles the comedy duo legends: Karagoz&Hacivat and Laurel&Hardy.

The same combination formula determines what Zeki and Metin individually stands for their roles. Both Karagoz,Laurel and Zeki are well-intentioned and naive characters. They both lead their duo, they are so so much clumsy and clueless. They always are the innocent victims of the harsh situations and jokes, not only of their partners but of almost everybody they get involved with. Both Karagoz,Laurel and Zeki are shy and fragile-hearted; they even cannot go to toilet without their partners.

On the opposite side both Hardy,Hacivat and Metin are smart,lazy and sly. Being self-starter and selfish, they jump directly into any kind of calamity anywhere. Then they expect their partner Laurel,Karagoz and Zeki save their asses. Even if they do not want to, Hardy,Hacivat and Metin puts trouble behind them to give them no option and no rest only to help them out. So, they both need each other in order to survive.

Among this great working character builder formula Sadık Şendil's screenplay is full of surprises ; cultural, humanitarian, family and friendly values. The first moment they build up a dialogue is in the forth scene, in the time-line:5:30- They empty their pockets out there in the street to count up how much money they have in total. Though until coming to this 5th minute there are 3 more humorous situations they are facing.

Winding up and up our laughs the strange humorous music of "Timur Selçuk Orkestrası- Panayır Günü" adds extra original value to this film.

Humour and endless laughs are not the only profit we're getting from Zeki&Metin; there are also strong thematic values that they prove us: "With less money there is always more love." But once they loved, this time both luck and love together never leaves the gamers. Zeki&Metin displays a strong example of the kind of friendship that the fade always gives the same answer to each of them. If one get fired from work they together get fired, if one fell to a trap the other jumps after him. Finally they even decide to commit to suicide together promising to each other: "Lived together, shall die together". Then finally luck smiles at them; they see their lovers crying after them looking down to the cool waves of the sea assuming that they are gone. Now they have a big fortune awaits for them. Happily ever after...
