On the original VHS of Der Morgen stirbt nie (1997), their was a brief trailer featuring Desmond Llewelyn playing a game for PlayStation, where he highlighted a game where the film ends. The game was originally called "Tomorrow Never Dies: The Mission Continues". Footage shows Bond skiing, scuba diving and driving in third person and on a first person shooting mission, the game had intended to come out in the Autumn of 1998 but for some reason the game wasn't released until November 1999 and with the Scuba Diving mission no where to be found.
There was a companion CD soundtrack, ''Tomorrow Never Dies: The Original Score to the Video Game'', which was released late November 1999 from Chapter III Records. The CD consists of a total of seventeen different Bond-themed electronica tracks, all of which are original Tommy Tallarico scores from the game. Tallarico is a game industry veteran best known for compiling video game soundtracks. The CD was first available for direct purchase via the Bond Music product web site followed by retail outlets starting on 12th January 2000.
The game was published by Electronic Arts and was developed by Black Ops and was available only on the Sony PlayStation platform.
The video game was later re-issued as a PlayStation Greatest Hits release.
A soundtrack to this James Bond video game was released in tandem with it. Entitled 'Tomorrow Never Dies: The Original Score to the Video Game', it featured the original music from composer Tommy Tallarico's musical score as well as the rare Bond song 'Letter to Paris' sung by vocalist Elaine Paiva.
