Glenn Tryon runs the section in the department store where mothers can leave their children while they shop. As he closes up one day, he finds a baby abandoned by its mother. So he leaves it in the car of floor walker Oliver Hardy.
Given that about five minutes of this short are missing, it's a bit unbalanced in favor of Hardy, the better remembered performer, and his wife, 15-year-old Martha Sleeper. Yikes, but she looks much more mature than that. We get to see Tryon being overwhelmed by children. But this short has two gag sequences for Hardy. With the second cut short.
Despite this, Tryon is top-billed. At the time, Hardy was a respected supporting comic.
