Private Schwänze

I saw this documentary last night on cable for the first time and I was a little surprised. They finally showed male frontal nudity. Guess what, the Earth didn't open up and swallow everyone. It's not such a taboo subject.

I also couldn't guess why there were some guys who were naked and some that were not. I didn't get that.

I think this was the first time in all of the 40 years, outside of a porno movie, I've seen mens dicks. I don't think there is anything wrong with the dick and the male body - I think their beautiful in there own way.

We need more shows such as this, because I'm really getting tired of turning on my television and seeing tits and t**t all the time.

I had a lot of fun being interviewed in the documentary -- and enjoyed being a total showoff (grin).

However, I was disappointed that the documentary was so slow-moving and, frankly, downbeat. It seemed too "tragic-seeking". A

A lot of people told me they wished they'd seen more of me, and I did have a lot of views about such topics as anti-circumcision. They also couldn't understand why "that old guy" (Bruce/Alan Abel) got so much time.

Ah, well. When you watch it, look out for me, and relax. It's just a documentary. :)

It was okay, I guess, but they included the fraud (Alan Abel) way too much. The second half was really dull. The producers made the entire thing seem way too depressing -- I wish they'd have made it more open and fun, instead of so heavy-handed. And why didn't EVERYONE drop trou? It seemed weird some guys were nude and others weren't.

Great applause and cheers to HBO and the creators of PRIVATE DICKS. This very personal documentary talks about the feelings, physicality and often hidden stories that surround a man's private sexual parts. As a man, I found this refreshing, informative, funny and honestly human. Too often, sexuality is hidden away as if it were some dark and evil secret. I don't understand why some people get offended at such things or say it is a shame that children might see this. We are all one gender or another, and I hope this movie allows people to shake off the VERY, VERY, VERY DESTRUCTIVE and harmful ways of making sexuality into something bad, dark and quite terrible. This is why this film is like A BREATH OF FRESH AIR! This show is made with the most candid, down to earth and honest film-making I have seen in many years. I HIGHLY recommend this to adult men and women alike who are even a little curious how men think and how they perceive themselves.

I know it's against the rule, the common. I mean, exposing male private member still (yeah still) hard to be done (taboo). Well, it's because mostly film maker in this world are male and mostly they are heterosexual too. They feel uncomfortable about to filming and exposing their own private things. It's like striping their own clothes and revealing their dicks.

Well, it's a great leap to have bravery in exposing male penis on film and thank God this is documentary. I have to say Thom Powers and Meema Spadola have enough material to make this documentary great, such as age differential, numbers of jobs, and races.

But, it's too "documentary". I like to see someone sitting on a chair and having their comments recorded, but what I saw here like someone was talking about their miserable live and their miserable dicks. Too flat and unfortunately there is no emotional involved.

And I don't understand too why some man didn't take off their clothes, even talking overdress. I mean, their talking about their dick but nothing to see it's like buying a cat inside a sack. And some man talking too much even actually his comments didn't really significant compare to other may just have couple minutes.

Well, this film made in 1999. And I hope more documentary like this which more honest and better written.
