Touch Me (1971)

This Anthony Spinelli film has a group of people going to an "encounter group" because they all suffer from some sort of sexual issue. Once there a therapist works with them in hopes of them getting over their fears and living out their desires.

TOUCH ME is a film that hides behind the "White Coater" moniker and for the most part it's an entertaining movie, although I certainly don't think it's the best of its kind. The movie is mostly going to appeal to fans of the genre as well as fans of its female stars, which includes the likes of Rene Bond, Suzanne Fields and Sandy Dempster. All three of them are extremely good here and they're reason alone to watch the picture.

As far as the film itself goes, I actually give it credit for being a tad bit darker than some of the other pictures like it. It seems that a lot of films in the genre were just hiding behind the educational factor so that they could show real sex but TOUCH ME seems as if it wanted to be a drama that really did take a look at the various sexual issues and not just throw the sex in the viewer's face.

The direction is good throughout and for the most part the sex scenes were well-filmed and get the job done so to speak.
