The animation of Uncle Fyodor's parents in 1978 is very similar to that of the parents of the Kid in 1968 from the animated film Malysh i Karlson (1968) (that, however, isn't surprising as both movies had same art directors, and virtually the same group of animators).
"Three of Prostokvashino" is the first film of the trilogy about a city boy nicknamed Uncle Fyodor, a homeless cat Matroskin, dog Sharik and others, who for various reasons began to live in the village of Prostokvashino.
In a survey conducted on February 8-9, 2014 among the inhabitants of Russia, the Public Opinion Foundation, the trilogy "Three from Prostokvashino" shared the third place with the animated film "Shrek".
Uncle Fedor's mom Levon Khachatryan sketched with his wife, actress Larisa Myasnikova.
Before "Prostokvashino", Nikolay Yerykalov and Levon Khachatryan had already worked together on the animation "Bobik Visiting Barbos."
