Storm Chasers - Im Auge des Sturms

STORM CHASERS: REVENGE OF THE TWISTER - ludicrous sub-title aside - is your generic Canadian-shot TV movie without an ounce of wit or originality to recommend it. It's a sub-standard copy of, surprise surprise, TWISTER, with Kelly McGillis taking on the role of the dedicated storm chaser who doesn't let family bereavement get in her way of going after the big one.

This doesn't even have the decency to be as fun and cheesy as a SyFy Channel or Asylum movie, because there's barely any disaster material to be had from it. For most of the time we get characters chatting and occasionally arguing, which makes for a boring viewing experience. The worst thing about STORM CHASERS is the quality of the writing, which is very bad indeed and mishandles all of the characters in the story. And the special effects are so poor that they're kept off screen for the most part. Nobody will be 'chasing' this film, that's for sure.
