Guess who’s coming back to haunt the big screen? Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment are giving moviegoers the ultimate Halloween treat: a nationwide re-release of Casper! The friendly ghost’s beloved family adventure will return to theaters starting October 3, 2025, and will play all the way through Halloween night.

Advance tickets are already on sale, so fans can lock in their seats for a nostalgic trip (or a first-time introduction!) to the ghostly fun.

In the 2021 Netflix film, Sydney Sweeney and Megan Fox‘s stylish, metallic, and seductive rendition of vampire bosses couldn’t help elevate Night Teeth. However, the atmospheric movie might have potential for redemption yet in a well-timed spin-off sequel from the streamer.

In Night Teeth, both Sweeney and Fox were killed in one of the most criticized and underwhelming scenes in the film. They were given virtually no time to shine on-screen as the feared and formidable bosses, and the extent of their “rule” was merely an implication before they were slaughtered off-screen by a psychotic underling.

Now, a spin-off of the film that shines its full focus on Sydney Sweeney and Megan Fox will not only rectify the former error, but has the potential to be big enough to break Netflix streaming records.

The Paradise panel at the TV Academy's inaugural Televerse Festival covered an array of topics, including the show's four Emmy nominations and what fans can expect from Season 2. But when the conversation turned to Sterling K. Brown's derrière, the conversation went off the rails.

"It's one of those things where, you show the ass one time, you have some sort of street credibility," the three-time Emmy winner said about the infamous scene from Paradise Season 1 where his character, Secret Service Agent Xavier Collins, was seen naked from behind in the shower. Brown added, "You show it twice, then it's not the same. It's not the right amount of cocoa butter. You gotta stay moisturized."

As the crowd broke into laughter, his costar James Marsden declared, "There isn't anybody in this room that wouldn't mind seeing that for a second time — myself included."

Brown shook his head and responded that he would "lose integrity.

In Brad Silberling's 1995 ghost comedy "Casper," Kat Harvey (Christina Ricci) and her widowed father James (Bill Pullman) move into a large, spooky mansion haunted by cartoonish, playfully destructive spirits. As horrifying as it would be in real life, body-swapping films are some of the most hilarious productions. At some point, everyone has imagined what their lives would be like if they switched places with someone more fortunate, especially when they're struggling. From Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan's Freaky Friday to Regina Hall and Marsai Martin's Little, waking up in someone else's body would be haunting, but watching it on screen is pure comedy. The latest swap film comes from Aziz Ansari, who also stars in the movie and wrote, produced, and directed it. It's one of the best-selling singles of all time, and almost three decades after it first hit the radio, it's climbing the charts again. "Iris," the Goo Goo Dolls' blockbuster 1998 ballad, is currently at #21 on Spotify's global streaming charts. The song, which became a worldwide hit when it was featured in the 1998 Nicolas Cage-Meg Ryan supernatural romance City of Angels, has been steadily climbing the streaming rankings since it entered the top 100 in February.

Actor and stuntman Bob Elmore, best known for portraying the iconic Leatherface character in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, has died. Bloody Disgusting has reported on Elmore's death, but no additional details, such as a possible cause, have been revealed.

Released in 1986, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 was the only sequel in the franchise to be directed by Tobe Hooper, who also helmed the original film released in 1974. The role of Leatherface, played by the late Gunnar Hansen in the first film, was taken over by Elmore, though Bill Johnson and Tom Morga also filled in for certain shots.

The sequel generated a cult following and remains a favorite for many horror fans after almost four decades. Elmore became a favorite for people to meet at fan conventions, becoming well known on the fan con circuit. The actor himself had previously expressed how he was in awe that the movie...

2025 marks the 39th anniversary of the release of director Tobe Hooper‘s sequel to his 1974 classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, a sequel appropriately titled The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (get it Here)… and sadly, we’ve just lost one of the film’s biggest contributors: stuntman Bob Elmore. While Bill Johnson is the primary actor credited with playing Leatherface in that movie, he had an aversion to acting out moments of violence – so whenever a scene required the chainsaw-wielding killer Leatherface to do something violent, Elmore would step in to play the character. So if you’ve ever enjoyed the performance of Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, that was due to the combined efforts of Johnson and Elmore.

Bob Elmore, a stuntman who’s best known for playing Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2, has passed away.

“Just to be recognized for working in this little, itty bitty movie that brought pleasure to so many people — and there’s some people that really, really, really enjoyed it,” Elmore said of his iconic role in a 2016 interview from Scream Factory’s Blu-ray release.

“I don’t understand. I don’t have that passion for that kind of movie, but there’s a lot. And it’s worldwide, it’s not here in the United States. People in Germany love Texas Chainsaw Part 2. They just love it, and they’re crazy about it. That’s what is so unique about it, and to be associated with that is great. Not too many people can say that.”

He also performed stunts in the horror cult classics The Monster Squad and Dr. Giggles.

Exclusive: Prolific director-writer Paris Barclay has signed with Innovative Artists Entertainment for literary representation.

Barclay has directed nearly 200 episodes of television, including episodes of NYPD Blue, ER, The West Wing, Lost, The Good Wife, CSI, Sons of Anarchy, House, Glee, In Treatment, Scandal, Empire, Pitch and Station 19.

Barclay won two Emmy Awards for his direction of NYPD Blue and has received seven additional Emmy nominations for producing and directing, including three for directing episodes of Glee, one for The West Wing and one for Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

He has also earned ten Directors Guild nominations for his work on In Treatment, Weeds, House, Glee and The West Wing, and won once for NYPD Blue. He also became the first director in the history of the Guild to receive a comedy and drama nomination in the same year, two years in a row, in 2008 and 2009.

Exclusive: Glaringly displayed in broad daylight Monday on the list of movies receiving the latest round of California film-tax credits was an untitled Netflix movie receiving a massive $20 million. Sources tell us that it’s the David Fincher-directed, Brad Pitt-starring The Adventures of Cliff Booth.

Netflix didn’t have any comment.

The reported budget is not known, though the movie is expected to have $105.9M in qualified expenditures in the state.

Deadline told you that the project, a Quentin Tarantino-penned follow-up to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, focuses on the subsequent adventures of Pitt’s Cliff Booth character. Netflix is financing the movie, which is very hush hush; today’s tax credits release only reveals that it will be shot 110 film days in California, with 128 cast and 428 crewmembers hired, and 3,960 days for background players worked.

Demi Lovato is married.

The singer-actress wed singer-songwriter Jordan “Jutes” Lutes on Sunday afternoon in California, according to Vogue.

The couple met in January 2022 while working on music for Lovato’s album Holy Fvck, with Lutes co-writing her songs “Substance,” “Happy Ending,” and “City of Angels.”

Lutes proposed in December 2023, but he previously shared that they weren’t in any rush to get married.

“We’re not trying to skip engagement to get right to wedding,” he told People last year. “We’re just basking in it and soaking it up. We’ll be married forever. We just want to enjoy every step.”

For the ceremony, Lovato wore a pearl white Vivienne Westwood dress made with heavy silk satin fabric with a corset bodice, Vogue reported. Lovato told the outlet that she’s been a fan of Westwood’s designs “for a long time.” She changed into another Westwood-designed dress for the reception.

What began as a pandemic-era writing exercise is now Companion, Drew Hancock’s widely acclaimed feature directorial debut.

Feeling unfulfilled by the sitcom-heavy direction his career was going, Hancock admitted some hard truths to himself during the dregs of 2020. During the 1980’s, Ryan appeared in the features “Top Gun” (1986), “Promised Land” (1987) and the romantic comedy “When Harry Met Sally...” (1989).

After months of speculation, The Beekeeper fans finally have confirmation as it appears a sequel to Jason Stathams 2023 action thriller seems to be officially in the works. The Cinemaholic is reporting that The Beekeeper 2 is set to kick off principal photography in Los Angeles in January 2025, with MGM and Miramax backing the production. Statham will reprise his role as Adam Clay, and David Ayer returns as director, and the hive is buzzing in anticipation. One of the main reasons for the project’s success was that it brought back actors who were key players in the 1986 film. With this, one cannot help but wonder why Meg Ryan wasn’t among them, even though it could have done a lot for both, the film, and her professional life.

The latest film adaptation of the graphic novel “The Crow” is struggling financially in theaters. Directed by Rupert Sanders and starring Bill Skarsgård, the $50 million production has grossed only $18.5 million worldwide over its first two weeks.

This performance fails to meet initial projections of $6-9 million for its opening weekend. Domestic earnings placed it in eighth place and far below the original 1994 film starring Brandon Lee. That version debuted with $11.7 million, equivalent to $35.5 million today, on its way to $94 million globally.

Since then, returns for “The Crow” have dropped sharply. The film averaged just $59 per theater in its second week, suggesting difficulties surpassing even the franchise’s previous lowest earnings. That came from 1996’s “City of Angels,” which made $25.3 million total.

Critical reviews for the remake have been mostly negative at 23% on Rotten Tomatoes. However, audience scores remain relatively positive at 64%. This gap implies dedicated fans may still enjoy the film on streaming.
