Very funny and able to thread on a few taboos you won't find in Hollywood productions. Check it out ! Switch off your brains and enjoy!

Two likable but entirely brainless dumb-wits and their crude environment provide the framework for just-as-dumb jokes. And it works!

Not for everyone - but humour is always a matter of taste. Not every single gag works out fine. But a lot of them really do - at least in my humble opinion. I just do not like one single character in it - the guy with the huge glasses. But he is just in two scenes: in the video store and in front of the tour bus of Gianna S - so just ignore him.

I love, however, Tom Gerhardt as the lead character and his mocking at real-life dumb-wits. There are some people who actually talk this way; luckily they are few and in between :-)

And there is also a chubby hot chick who is the lead character's sister. Veronica Ferres, who is a really hot woman nowadays and a well renowned actress, well, I guess she was young and she needed the money. Seriously, she does a tremendous job also in this comedy about dumb proletarians.

Bottom line: Not for everybody! Definitely! But if you can enjoy low-level humour and just relax and enjoy, well then go see it. I for one was pleasantly surprised!

Before watching "Voll normaaal" you must consider this is not supposed to be an intelligent film. Neither story nor dialogues make any sense to say the least, but this makes it so hilarious! It's like techno music. Itmay be cheesy. It may be goofy. Sensitive people may try to avoid it unconditionally. But if you like to spend a night to switch off your brain (I recommend drinking alcohol before seeing it)and just enjoy yourself it is definitely worth watching respectively listening ;). The story is by the way about an antisocial family having to deal with their messed up life in the Ghetto of Cologne. Great Stuff!!!!!!!!!

wow, i have to say that this is the most stupid movie i have ever seen,but it is fun.All the associal people, the tasteless "Italia 90"(the football world cup)-t-shirt of Mario and Dolly Buster(schwabbel,wabbel)!So turn up your brain and enjoy this flick.It is worth it.

In case your german is not up to the task, my summary line above is playing into the title of the movie: so no pun intended. And of course humor is in the eye of the beholder. So you may find this actually funny and not offensive. Or the other way around - I personally would understand the offended part to a degree.

A lot has changed since the movie was made. And yes you can hide .. I mean explain most of the humor with ... well just that. That it is not meant to be truthful, but just kidding. The thing is: the quality of the jokes is subpar at best. The way it starts will inform what you will make with the rest of it.

A baby born, with the face of our protagonist ... kind of like the Wayans movie where the short criminal pretended to be a baby. But even more ridiculous if that is even possible.

That said, it gets worse after that. Our main character steps into ... excrement. Not sure how I should phrase it otherwise. He doesn't notice (like he notices anything in the movie - forgetaboutit) and walks into a store ... the female employe that works is clearly upset when she sees the tracks ... but only until she meets our "hero". For some reason she seems to be smitten by him. Hey I didn't get it either - but you know: it's a comedy - so there's that.

Again, if you really set the bar low, you may be able to find something funny here. I personally was not able to - the main character who is a comedian had a good act going. As a "Hausmeister" - a more apt role than the one he is playing here. The gullible, not to intelligent Dude - or whatever you would call him.

I'd say not worth your time - but as I also said before: we have different taste and that is a good thing in the end ... and who am I to tell you what good taste is and that it does not exist here? Maybe you are not looking for that ... you've been warned.
