"Nice" about sums it up. Good old-fashioned love story. Lindsay Wagner plays Lindsay Wagner, floating along and pretty. Barry Bostick is gorgeous. Both of them need a rocket but those were the times, people were less forthcoming than they are today. A sweet, heart-warming story. Get the chocolates and snuggle rug out ;-)

I really liked this movie. Based on a Danielle Steel novel, it's about a pregnant woman who tries to make a new life for herself after the death of her husband and young daughter. Rex Smith has a small role here as Daphne's (Lindsay Wagner) husband who dies in a fire. Ms. Wagner also has fine chemistry with Barry Bostwick. Amy Aquino shines in the role of Daphne's best friend Barbara. The scenery here is pretty, too. This movie is usually found on the Lifetime Channel. Enjoy, but be sure to watch with a box of Kleenex nearby!

I was just so impressed with the actors evidenced study of sign language, signed at least 3/4 of movie and were impeccable.

I loved this movie SO Much, I wished there would be a sequel.

I Want to see more of Daphne and Matt in their Life together, raising Andrew, Andrew would be 18-19 now. there would be a lot of interesting Story plots here. I'd be glad to be on the writing team for the Sequel.

Lindsay just did "Thicker Than Water" in 2005, so she must be in her working stage. I miss her when she's away. She's a Most Excellent actress and I commend her for the vehicles she chooses.

Much Redeeming Quality in what she chooses.

I'll have to look up Barry and see if he's currently working also. And the oldest portrayal of Andrew , THAT WOULD BE FANTASTIC if he could be in the sequel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have watched this movie over and over again through the years. First of all, I like happy endings. Secondly, we have deaf friends and also our daughter is a deaf interpreter in our local school system. Thirdly, Lindsay Wagner is one of my very favorites along with Anne Archer, Christine Lahti and others. I'll admit it gets a little slow moving during the part where Lindsay Wagner has a relationship with the main character for the movie taken from a book she wrote. But it depicts a dedicated and committed mother and a talented, professional, but sensitive and sweet deaf educator, and best of all the loyalty and support of a dear, dear friend. You just can't beat all that!!

Daphne is not a lucky woman-she is widowed in a fire that also kills her young daughter.Pregnant at the time the son she gives birth to is profoundly deaf Luckily she has literary gifts and she is able to make a career for herself as a novelist.She reflects on her life as she lies in a hospital bed having been struck by a car-her somewhat obsessive care for her son,a dalliance with a Hollywood star and the love of stalwart Doctor Dane,the specialist on deafness and whom her son loves

It crawls to a bland and predictable climax with only a slightly arch turn from Duncan Regehr as the selfish but charming star Justin Wakefield to enliven proceedings

Romantic tosh that may satisfy those who have read Ms Steel's novels but leave the cynics unconverted
