Continuity

When Lewis and Robocop confront McDaggett, wounds are visible on Lewis' arm, even though she hadn't been shot yet.
In car chase with armored van, we see Robocop's car with the roof missing before it gets blown off a few seconds later.
After a resistance member hits Otomo in the jaw with a lead pipe, Otomo's jaw is dislocated in the wrong direction.
When Robocop destroys the tank, his visor is cracked, revealing his eyes. When he enters the OCP building, it's fixed.
After the two Otomos at OCP kill each other, McTaggart yells they have a self-destruct fail-safe. The Otomo RoboCop killed earlier doesn't seem to have this function.

Factual errors

Almost all the Japanese spoken in the film is in fact not Japanese at all, but gibberish, aside from a few words that may have been correct.
Marie is locked in a store room at OCP building, with a guard standing outside. Later, couple of the Rehabs come to get her. Instead of simply unlocking the door, one of them tells the guard to move, then he needlessly slams his shoulder at the door several times and kicks it open.
Robocop is hit with the grenade in the exact same spot when Cain/Robocop 2 shot him, but the previous movie didn't damage his heart. Robocop didn't have any problems fighting Cain after his shot in the chest with the same indentations.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

In RoboCop (1987), Directive 4 prevented Robocop from acting only against senior officer of OCP, as said explicitly by Dick Jones. In this movie, Directive 4 prevents him from opposing any OCP officer, even the Rehabs, until it is deleted. No explanation is given how and when was Directive 4 expanded. But, in fact, all his directives were erased in RoboCop 2. In that the first three directives are back in place shows that he has been, at some unseen point, reprogrammed.

Revealing mistakes

When the Otomo androids fight, their heads shoot off toward the ceiling before the swords get even remotely close to the necks of each actor.
In the fight with Otomo, Robocop's arm is chopped off. Shortly after that you can see his lower arm and elbow, covered in black, behind his back.
When in pursuit of two Splatterpunks, Robo walks through a window that shatters before he touches it.
When Robocop is set on fire by the splatterpunks, the Robo suit is clearly a different one; being more bulky and cumbersome than the one seen throughout the rest of the film. Clearly it has been adapted as a fireproof suit for the stuntman inside.
When the Otomo attacks Robocop, you can clearly see the floor bounce a few times every time he lands.

Miscellaneous

In the original "RoboCop," a multitude of picketing police officers could hardly lift the cyborg, but here three adult rebels and a child were able to carry him through the sewers.
The Cadillac Heights sign detailing the history of Cadillac Heights, erected by the Detroit Historical Commission, spells Commission incorrectly as Commision. It also splits the word Incorporated into In Corporated.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

When one of the Rehab officers shoots Robocop as he torches the staging area, in the over-the-shoulder view of the officer, there is no muzzle flash from the M16. He's clearly faking the recoil, and the sparks from the "bullets" are on his chest even though he's aiming at his head.

Crew or equipment visible

The wires that hold up the flying Robocop are visible when he flies away after burning McDaggett's feet.

Plot holes

When the OCP Building is destroyed by two nukes (inside the ninja robots) , the explosion indicates that not only the building but also the surrounding city of Detroit should have been leveled by the shock wave. Still, the ending of the movie shows that Detroit still exists and is seemingly unaffected either by the radiation and/or fallout.

Character error

There is no reason for Robocop to shoot through the roof of his police cruiser in order to get out. The driver's side door was undamaged and should work just fine.
The hammer that Dr. Lazarus uses to smash Robocop's tracking chip is actually a bullet pulling hammer from R.C.B.S. The hammer is made out of plastic and would probably break before the tracking chip. As she works in a lab she probably has a better hammer laying around.
Niko likely wouldn't have known how to fix/control Robocop or ED-209. Not only do both characters have superior programs and coding that her tiny laptop wouldn't have been able to crack, but she also lacked any of the special tools needed for them. The only models she had of Robocop and ED-209 were toy models, which would not have come with blueprints for the actual machines.
