The 40-year-old “Woman’s World” pop star launched her latest trek on Wednesday night (April 23) at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City.

The tour is in support of her latest studio album 143, and also includes a bunch of hits and deep cuts from her discography, including “Teenage Dream,” “Dark Horse,” “Roar,” “Hot N Cold,” and “Firework.”

The show includes a “Choose Your Own Adventure” section, where fans can vote on an era and song from Katy‘s past. On opening night, she performed “The One That Got Away” from Teenage Dream!

Pop singer Katy Perry is setting out on the dates for the North American leg of her Lifetimes Tour for the spring and summer of 2025.

The tour, in support of Perry’s most recent 143 album, will kick off in Houston on May 7. Perry will trek across the country, making stops in cities such as Chicago, Denver and Las Vegas, and go on to play at Dallas’ American Airlines Arena on May 21. From there, she will play a series of shows in Australia, before returning to the U.S. for more shows in July, eventually hitting Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena on July 21.

Amid a mix of previous unannounced shows in Canada, Perry will continue to make stops in cities across the country until Aug. 23. She will then tour in South America and Europe for the duration of the fall.

With Carrie Underwood replacing Katy Perry as one of the American Idol judges, the show seems to be keeping its costs down.

According to a source, the former show winner will receive around the same amount as fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.

That amount is “substantially less” than Katy received while a judge on the show.

After appearing as a guest judge in Season 9, the Teenage Dream singer returned eight years later, in Season 16, to become a full-time judge. Her time on the show involved controversy and backlash, though.

She abruptly left before Season 23, and the show announced Carrie as her replacement. Inside sources have already said the Idol crew is happier to have the Season 4 winner in Katy’s place.

The Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award is given to iconic artists for their outstanding accomplishments and lasting influence on popular culture. Other recipients include Shakira, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Kanye West, Beyonce, Britney Spears, and Justin Timberlake.

In addition to the Lifetime Achievement Award, Perry also took home the Moon Person trophy for Most Iconic Performance for her live performance of Roar at Empire-Fulton Ferry Park in 2013.

Neither single has been received exactly how Perry seemed to hope they would as far as her comeback goes, so she’s breaking out a secret weapon — and not the one that has been the source of controversy in her album release. The Florida rapper Doechii will appear on the next 143 single, “I’m His, He’s Mine,” out Friday, Sept. 13.
