This title page Dragon Ball: Doragon bôru (1986) is for the original japanese release of the anime Dragon Ball, as it was broadcasted on Fuji TV, uncut. The other title page Dragonball (1995) is for the english dubbed version, that was broadcasted in North America, with several changes and cuts in its broadcasting.

Twentieth Century Fox, after several years, finally released their film, loosely inspired on Dragon Ball http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1098327 . It keeps some of the main character's names (Son Goku, Bulma, Chichi, Yamcha, Master Roshi) but features heavy changes on some of their personalities and appearances, to make it more "americanized" and "modern". It's plot it's a mixture between the begining of Dragon Ball and the Piccolo Daimaoh Saga (with great changes in the plot). It was not well recieved amongst fans, currently with a rating of 2.8/10 here on IMDb.

Twentieth Century Fox with comedian Stephen Chow (Shaolin Soccer; Kung Fu Hustle) produced the live-action movie "Dragonball Evolution." James Wong (X-Files; Final Destination), directed it. Screenplay by Ben Ramsey (Love and Bullet, The Big Hit). Justin Chatwin (War of the Worlds) portrayed a teenager Goku. James Marsters (Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) is cast as Piccolo. The movie reportedly started filming in Mexico in November, 2007, for a worldwide release between March and April 2009. About 85% of the film will be shot in Durango, Mexico. Locations include the Mexiquillo Forest, Marley Ranch, Hacienda la Providencia, La Joya Ranch, Laguna Seca de Santiaguillo and a forum from a Convention Center in the Culture Institute. Production will move to Estado De México for some shots at the volcano Nevado de Toluca. Estimated Budget: US$45,000,000. Box Office: US$9,362,785.
