Despite each show taking place in a different location, some of the same audience members are shown more than once.

When Monica returns to her trailer after leaving Dorando's trailer with the partnership agreement papers, she burns the papers in the trash can and Bruno knocks on her door. She yells "just a minute!" and hurriedly takes off her cape and throws it on the couch which is at least four feet from the door with a table between them, but when she opens the door to him and he tells her to come with him, she simply turns to her left and picks up the cape to put back on to leave. She would have had to leave the doorway and walk over to the couch to get the cape where she had originally tossed it.

Although the film takes place at The Great Rivers Circus, all the elephants' headdresses bear the initials "BS" - for Billy Smart's Circus, the real circus they performed in.

The murder of Dorando requires that he stand in exactly the right place at exactly the right time, something that could not possibly be planned by a murderer.
