In my humble opinion as a serious movie watcher but not a critic and after watching thousands of movies ... there are some good movies and you know they are a good one but you wouldn't enjoy it a lot ... there are directors like Jean Pierre Melville who made really good movies but also interesting one , movies you would want to watch again and again .... Another example is Great Kurosawa .... Every single movies he made are beautifully artistic but also likeable or even lovable ... another one is Martin Scorsese and Stanley Kubrick and to some extent Asghar Farhadi so I'm giving the rate according how many more I want to watch the movie and also I believe this movie is a good movie I don't want to watch it again so for me this is 5/10.

I saw this movie in a very bad quality. Lot's of noise and video was like a slide show. But I enjoy this movie. It was boycotted for 4 years. I am surprised how good was this old Persian movie. It was written by GholamHussein Saedi who also wrote The cow and Dayere Mina. All three are best Persian movies and both Tranquility in the Presence of Others and Dayere Mina were boycotted for several years. I'm so sad he just had part in three movies. It was clear for me that some parts of this movie was censored, when 2 men in a restaurant were talking. when he began to say something about the country (Iran) scenes were cut. I recommend this movie and in my opinion this movie is in ten best Persian movies.
