Stanley Baker was mostly a film actor, and had been extremely popular in the fifties and sixties as a leading man before becoming a character-actor. It was seeing Baker on television. Ironically, his last work would also be on the small screen; the miniseries adaptation of How Green Was My Valley wherein he was dying of lung cancer during production, and passed away shortly after filming.
This made for TV film was included in a 2008 DVD release of Thriller (1973) and is sometimes incorrectly listed as a Thriller episode.
