An album of songs sung by Allen Case titled "The Deputy Sings" was released in 1960.

It is more than obvious that Allen Case who plays the part of Deputy Clay McCord tries to mimic the voice and speech patterns of his co-star Henry Fonda.

In one episode Frank Cady plays a shopkeeper not unlike his more famous role of Sam Drucker.

The following two episodes have fallen into the public domain: season two, episode eighteen, "The Hard Decision", and season two, episode thirty, "The Return of Widow Brown".

Henry Fonda's first television series was this show, set in the Arizona territory in 1880 (as Fonda's character often said during an opening narration on many episodes.) Fonda's sequences were shot all at once each season, so that he would be free the rest of the year to pursue film and theater work.
