The voice actors are uncredited, but the lady of the house (Joan) may have been voiced by Janet Waldo, who voiced the housewife as well as the teenage babysitter in the following year's Tom und ich als Babysitter (1958). (The character in this short does not sound like prolific voice actress June Foray.)
The concept of finding the guilty party was done some years later in a commercial between a couple of household pets and the family trash. Once again, it was a photo finish that determined the true culprit.
As cartoons were still being shown in cinemas, the careful attention to background in this short is excellent. Everything from Jerry's broken teacup armchair to the lady's sewing basket, and more, are drawn true to life in perfect detail.
