In the fall of 1977, to quickly capitalize on success of Star Wars, the film was dubbed in English and released in the United States under a new title. The English dub included references to "Star Fleet", "Star Fleet Command", "Warp Speed", and "Impulse Drive"as used in the Star Trek television series.
This film uses several chunks of footage from Hydra - Verschollen in Galaxis 4 (1976), including re-dubbed and uncredited clips of Casey Kasem (as a flight controller), Grant Williams and Henry Wilcoxon. That movie, in turn, took most of its exterior effects (at least the ones used in this film) from Ufos Zerstören Die Erde (1962).
Once in space, the film uses stock special-effects footage from Toho Studio's films Invasion of Astro-Monster and Gorath to depict a pursuit of Chaena's ship and an ecological catastrophe on Earth.
The helicopter seen in this production is a Bell-Agusta 47J, the Italian built version of the American Bell 47J built under license from Bell Helicopter Corporation, USA by Agusta Westland of Italy.
One scene in the movie at the 46:00 mark shows an attractive Earth woman who "floats up to the ceiling" when the aliens unbuckle her seat belt in zero gravity. Her flapping skirt flies up to show her stocking clad legs as she supposedly rises. However, the round area "above her" is actually a trampoline, She falls "up" to it, then she rolls around on the "ceiling" while begging the aliens to get her back "down".
