Social worker Andrew Duncan comes across Alan Arkin in Central Park. He tries to convince him to go back to school, to little effect.
Arkin had already appeared in a movie as the lead singer of the folk-singing group The Tarriers. He had also been a founding member of Second City, and this short film has the sort of loose-jointed dialogue of an improvised sketch from that troupe. First-time director Walker Stuart gets good performances out of his performers, with Arkin apparently at ease in front of the camera.
It's a minor effort, and probably not significant, except for Arkin. He would certainly make a career of it.
