When Jory escapes, he runs from the old 3rd Street tunnel and jumps onto the original Angels Flight funicular that was built in 1901 and ran until 1969, when the entire area was condemned and redeveloped. The new Angels Flight is located less than a block from the original site.
The final film in which Mary Zavian appeared, and her only credited role. She appeared in just seven films between 1942 and 1953.
This film failed at the box office, resulting in a loss to MGM of $179,000 (about $2.1M in 2024) according to studio records.
Strangely, Angels Flight in Los Angeles, aka "The World's Shortest Railroad," is featured in this film, although much of the action takes place in swamps. There are no swamps in or near Los Angeles nor the rest of Southern California.
