Handlung

Tony and Freddie, who've been rivals all their lives, vie for the hand in marriage of their childhood sweetheart. Big Freddie seems to have the upper hand when Tony gets himself kidnapped by a ring of muggers whose M.O. is to have one of their members dress up as a woman in order to lure men into the back seat of their limousine, where they're beaten up and robbed.—frankfob2@yahoo.com

The story opens with two young boys playing with a girl. Freddie is husky and aggressive, while Tony is slim and timid. Twenty years pass. The girl has grown into a lovely young lady, and Freddie is now a huge and dominating man. Tony is still bashful, but does not lack courage. He is in love with his childhood sweetheart, but hesitates to declare his feelings. So the girl accepts the attentions of Freddie. When Tony learns he has lost her heart, he heads to the club to drown his sorrows in alcohol. Meanwhile, a gang of crooks cruise about the city in a huge limousine, with one of them disguised as a girl. It is the "girl's" job to entice a prosperous looking individual into the car, where he is promptly beaten and robbed, and then thrown out. The gang victimize one man, and then pick up Tony, who is aimlessly wandering about. Tony is enticed into the limousine, but puts up a gallant fight until he is knocked unconscious. The crooks have bigger plans, and force their way into the house of Tony's sweetheart, who has just been married to Freddie. Not knowing what to do with the unconscious Tony, the crooks carry him into the house, take his clothes, dress him in a pair of women's pajamas, and roll him under a bed. Meanwhile, the bride has become ill and takes to her room. Freddie has captured one of the crooks and goes to the police station to file a charge. Tony, regaining consciousness, rolls from under the bed to find himself in the bedroom of the girl he loves. Tony attempts to explain the situation to her, and the girl makes an attempt to hide him, just has her aunt enters the room. The aunt naturally assumes that Tony is the girl's husband. But at that moment, Freddie calls, and hearing what is going on, rushes home with a vengeance. Tony manages to escape, only to discover another crook attempting to enter the house. When he follows the crook, he again ends up in the girl's bedroom. In the climax, there is a chase of the crooks, involving two motorcycles and two cars which race in and out between speeding trolleys and express trains. The crooks are finally apprehended. Tony is reconciled that he will never have the girl of his dreams - until he accidently comes across another girl who is as pleased with him as he is with her.
