It's a good show with very soothing story, but why it's age rating is 16+ in Netflix?
This show doesn't have any explicit scenes and story is so childish, it should be rated 7+ at max. I don't know at what basis they age rate this show, but if you show this show to teenager or adult, he is bound to give low rating, cause story is just not meant for yhem.
I'll start with the things I enjoyed.
I liked the animation.
The environment created was something not often done and that was refreshing, also the ability to create something from nothing reminded me of FMA which was nice.
Soooo now the things that I believe let this anime down.
Story....or lack off. Personally not a big fan of episodic stories and prefer something that is actually going somewhere. Yes there were flashbacks and plenty of them (ugh) but they were often just conveying the relationship between the characters, with a small amount explaining certain circumstances of how they got to where they are.
There was also an issue with pauses, something new to me and hope I don't experience it again. Couple of characters would be having a conversation and then when one asks a question there's this sudden long pause. It's like someone paused the show and god is it irritating, that being said much of the dialogue I found was drivel.
Also there doesn't seem to be much on character development. You get the many flashbacks of how they came to where they are but going forward or some sort of goal just seems to be lacking. Heck I'm pretty sure there wasn't an objective unless I missed it.
So yeah, the premise get a pass but the lack of story and actual character development kill it, which is a shame because it looked promising.
Overall I would recommend it to people I hate.
P.S. Now that I think about it, this anime kinda felt like watching fillers...

I loved the beginning. Episode 5 was awkward tho. And the last 2 episodes were predictible and nothing sepcial.
The rest was beautiful and creative. I hope that season 2 will explain the background story of this story.

The premise of this is good: a new continent that suddenly rises out of the ocean. Characters that can create whatever they can imagine. And... that's it.
The costuming of the main character is semi-militaristic goofy-looking. Zero's outfit is cute enough, if cliche. The individual stories are hit and miss, some of them decent, the majority kinda cow flops. The last three episodes are (spoiler excluded) yawners. They seriously could have done so much more with this series, but didn't.
Then we have the unanswered questions. Where did the continent come from? Where did all the weird life forms suddenly come from? A prominent character gets stabbed in the leg and severely sliced clear across the back... and walks around like nothing happened? And the "boss fight(s)" were a real snore.
The number of 10-star ratings on this are questionable. People involved with the production... or people with no discerning taste in anime? The low-star ratings may be too low, but they properly counteract the ludicrous praise posts. Best anime of the year? Not even close. This is a mediocre offering without a consistent story line, and too many disjointed, no-ending meaningless episodes. By the 12th episode I was way past ready for it to be done and over... but there was one more lame episode to go.
If you haven't seen it yet, you've been warned. It has an interesting premise and two or three decent mini-stories... and that's about all.

Long story short, i would recommend to watch it.
Unfortunately the story is not very consistent and there are some episode which are boring.
The first episode of this anime is great.
Some humor, some action and a lot of creepy stuff with twists... Later some episodes miss some of this elements.
The animations are quite nice and In my option its one of Netflix better animes releases recently.
