This movie actually is pretty decent, it shines a light on a subject that people like to ignore or pretend doesn't happen.

A mother with very obviously mental illness is obsessed with her own daughter, there is a very clear scenes that show the mother has abused, molested and committed sexual assault on her daughter over a number of years, she is so obsessed with her daughter that the mother is willing to do anything she needs to make sure she doesn't lose control of her either, this also means not allowing anyone trying to be her friend etc is a potential target for her mothers wrath.

Its definitely worth watching and for an indie movie they did a very good job overall.

Alison Clancy's songs add a great moody vibe to this film and the other underscoring gives you all those supenseful tingles your want from a thriller. The actors deliver great performances, very authentic feeling of a small town community and what it's like to be a teenager trying to find your place and your group. This film was shot in Northern California and the setting is wonderful haunted feeling. I like how the cinematography is dark and mysterious; it adds to the suspenseful feeling that you never quite can see the whole picture, you always feel a bit like your finding your way through the dark... the story has fun twists and turns. Recommend!

This cool yet disturbing indie film hooked me from the beginning until the end! The suspense of this twisted story line kept me on the edge of my seat. The acting chemistry between Karen Leigh Sharp and Madeleine Masson (Silvia and Hannah) was authentic, and believable. I can see why awards are being won world wide at film festivals. I highly recommend this watch! Bonus alert...Alison Clancy's music is perfectly edgy! Her voice and style is current and chic. DP Val Camp's cinematography of The Sierra Mountains takes you into this dark forest of Vibeka Muasya's of the award winning film. Watch this film and support indie film makers!

The cinematography is so on point with this movie! The darkness of the shots puts you in the mood without making you feel constrained or struggling to understand the scene. Karen Leigh Sharp is magnificently creepy! You see this dark play between love and control and she passes it off with ease. The movie leaves you interested in the mystery while giving you enough along the way to satisfy your curiosity. It's dark and "twisted" without being jump-out/boo scary. I'm not one for thrillers or "horror," but this movie doesn't leave you feeling like it "scared" you. It does a beautiful job of illuminating how complex and messed up humans can be. Would definitely recommend!
