Winter Castle: Romanze im Eishotel

Poor story. What you expect, will happen.

Bad casting. The actress who plays the mother is 11 years older than Ullerup, who plays one of the daughters...

The winter Castle itself is amazing!

This is a made of honor and best man set up at a destination wedding in the absolutely gorgeous setting of the ice hotel (it looks like the one in Quebec).

This film is worth seeing for the ice hotel alone, the rooms are themed and there are characters carved into the walls that change every year...it is so cool.

The other reason to see this is for Emilie Ullerup, she is fantastic and her usual effervescent self. She really breathes life into this film playing Jenny the maid of honor at her sister Meg's wedding. Meg was hoping to set her sister up with the best man, Craig, but he brings a plus one...Lana who was a friend of his deceased wife and helped him since her death with his delightful daughter Sara. Sara and Jenny immediately hit it off because Henny is so full of fun and wants to write kids stories...how perfect is that. Full of adventure and a beautiful snowy backdrop...this is a sweet slow burn.

Ok I should really centre my review on whether a film has subtitles or not, but it so helps, Soundtracks can be somewhat fuzzy with the speech...so having subtitles when you're hard of hearing is a great bonus. I thought the film was quite sweet, but it was lacking some of the magic between couples.

Absolutely breathtaking location! Emilie and Kevin are good together. It's a shame that more information about Lana's relationship to Kevin wasn't given.

Wow - this makes me so want to explore the possibility of an ice hotel. Scenery was great. Love the male lead (Kevin) and female lead (Emilie). I would definitely watch this movie again (and again).
