I really enjoy robot carnage, and this show offers plenty. But the only way to watch this is to DVR then fast-forward through the absolutely obnoxious amount of commercials and filler. I realize they need to pay the bills but the percentage of actual battles vs commercials is ridiculous. If the split were even I'd give it a solid 10 but I gotta offer an 8 due to annoyance.

Some impressive machines going toe to toe. Parts flying as these 250 pound bots crash into each other, each with devastating weaponry engaged.
I would like to see more of the engineering that goes into building these bots.
What makes this show must see tv are the announcers Chris Rose and Kenny Florian. Their witty repartee will make you lol.
But as others have mentioned , the ratio of bot action to non bot action is way weighted in the non bot corner.

Yes, it is the best show on TV right now.
It is fun to watch smart people create weapons of mass destruction and destruct, demolish each other for fun.
I've been watching Battlebots since ever, and it has evolved over time, and the format is great.
Great work also by the announcers, color commentator and the whole crew.
I
The end results is very entertaining "

Love the bots fighting each other. But its a program with 40 min episodes, with only 4 matches of about 3-4 mins every episodes - And you know what that means: About 10-15 mins of matches, and about 25-30 mins of commentating, interviews, introductions, and other filler, per episode. That means that about 60% of every episode is just filler. It's sad, because I end up skipping the 60% filler and only really watching the minority of the show - What it's all really about.
So, with 60% filler, that is also the rating they must live with - 6/10.

It was great until rules all the sudden changed to ensure Witch Doctor wins over clearly superior robots. How sad this fun event has to be turned into lies, fraud, bought and paid for trophy taking. Robot Wars was about the robots, this is about politics. Fraud has no place in life or on my TV. Bye.

I'll keep this very short and sweet: 85% waffling, 15% actual bot fights. I find myself skipping chunks of the programme to see anything worth watching.

Derivative, way too much filler and presentation that sounds fake. I get the impression that once the cameras stop rolling no one gives a damn.
A bit of real enthusiasm would help.

Good show but terrible matches and terrible decisions by judges. Terrible season 2018 is. I hope the responsible people are changing in the future. They put irrelevant people on the jury seat. They act as if there is no rule book. It's all our viewing pleasure
died. I'll watch it again if other people manage it. Other than that, I don't think I'll ever watch it. They constantly change the last match status and take you away from the event. A funny mistake made to unnecessarily prolong the season. Instead of doing 20 episodes, a smoother race could have been organized with a clearer ranking system. It's really unfortunate.
