Anna Delvey, the real-life inspiration for the Netflix series Inventing Anna, has responded to the accusations that she dumped rabbits from her recent photoshoot in New York City’s Central Park.
Delvey appeared on Dancing With The Stars last year but was eliminated in an early round.
Behind-the-scenes footage from the recent photoshoot with Jasper Soloff shows Delvey posing on the city streets with two hot-pink leashes attached to bunnies. After Delvey posted the photos, vegan influencer and blogger Terry Chao posted to Instagram claiming that she had rescued the same two bunnies from Brooklyn’s Prospect Park earlier that week.
Alongside a photo of herself and the bunnies – whom she named Parker and Moon – Chao shared a lengthy caption explaining her discovery.
She wrote, “On 8/9, I was notified that @theannadelvey posted a shoot with rabbits. This was a shoot I knew about because the person who dumped the rabbits...

“I was also very sick as a child”: Julia Garner Talks About Her Disability and How Acting Helped Her
Julia Garner may currently be making rounds on the internet for her exceptional performances in MCU’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps and her thriller masterpiece Weapons, but during her childhood, her struggles with her disabilities were real. She had epilepsy, a neurological disorder characterized by a tendency to have recurrent, unprovoked seizures, and struggled with bad reading problems – until she jumped into acting and everything changed.
In a 2021 interview with W Magazine, the Weapons actress talked about the crippling shyness that had defined her childhood among her struggle with her disability, saying,
I had really bad reading problems and learning disabilities, and I was also very sick as a child, with epilepsy. I felt like everything that I said was stupid, so I just shut down.
As she shared in another interview with Rolling Stone in 2021, Garner spent quite a bit of her life outrunning the childhood fear that she was embarrassingly dumb,...

Julia Garner got her start in movies at 17 with a role in Sean Durkin’s Martha Marcy May Marlene opposite Elizabeth Olsen. She ultimately found major success on the small screen for versatile work in Ozark, The Americans, Dirty John, Waco and Inventing Anna.
She’s long said that the role that changed her life (complete with three Emmy Awards in the process) was playing Ruth Langmore opposite Jason Bateman and Laura Linney until the Netflix series ended its 44-episode run in 2022.
After moving on from the career-defining performance, the star has booked herself a busy summer, which has included back-to-back No. 1 films.
Garner is riding high with the breakout success of Weapons, which surpassed expectations to hit the top of the box office last weekend with a $42.5 million opening for filmmaker Zach Cregger, Warner Bros. and New Line. The critical and commercial hit followed hot on the heels of...

The Weapons cast includes Oscar nominee Josh Brolin (Milk), three-time Emmy nominee Julia Garner, Cary Christopher, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Benedict Wong, Oscar nominee Amy Madigan (Twice in a Lifetime), Toby Huss, June Diane Raphael, Whitmer Thomas, Callie Schuttera, Clayton Farris, Luke Speakman, and Scarlett Sher.
Now, on the day of its theatrical release, Weapons has debuted with a 90% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, which is one of the strongest of this year. The film only has 500+ verified ratings at the time of writing, so its audience score is subject to change. Currently,...

Hollywood is hung up on Madonna, but a biopic remains a frozen secret. Regardless, the legendary singer’s life is going to make it to screen eventually — although whether it gets to the small or big screen first is yet to be determined. This week, “Weapons” star Julia Garner — who was announced to star in a Madonna movie way back in 2022 — confirmed on the podcast “Smartless” that, in spite of reports to the contrary, the project “Like a Virgin” is still very much in gestation.
“That’s supposed to still happen,” she said (via Variety). Garner was set to star alongside Julia Fox, who would play Madonna Bff and frequent music video co-star Debi Mazar. Fox spoke with IndieWire in 2024 about the movie’s reported shelving by Universal, seeming similarly ambiguous.

Julia Garner has given a positive update on the status of the Madonna biopic, which many thought was canceled. 2025 has been an incredible year for Garner, marked by starring roles in Wolf Man, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and the upcoming horror thriller Weapons. In 2022, Garner was cast as the musical icon Madonna in a biopic about the singer's life that was speculated to be canceled. Garner, though, says the movie is still in active development.
Speaking with the Smartless podcast ( via Variety), Garner said the Madonna biopic is "supposed to still happen" and that "anything that’s great…takes a long time." Garner went on to talk about her passion for the project, as she grew up with Madonna's music. But what drove her was a desire to test herself. Veep ended its run on HBO more than five years ago, but its satirical take on modern American politics feels as timely as ever. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who earned multiple Primetime Emmy Awards for her showstopping performance as the show's title character, has even said that her deliciously controversial character shares traits with Donald Trump. Alongside the infamous Selina Meyer for virtually all seven seasons was her anxiety-stricken Chief of Staff Amy Brookheimer, played to perfection by Anna Chlumsky. Years after earning child-star status for her acclaimed turn in My Girl (1991), Chlumsky proved she's still a talent to watch with her Emmy-nominated performance on Veep — and it hasn't stopped there.
In addition to leading the hit Netflix series Inventing Anna (2022), Chlumsky can now be spotted in multiple standout episodes of the gritty new series Smoke on Apple TV+. MovieWeb recently caught up with Chlumsky while she was promoting Smoke, and she...

The Silver Surfer has returned to movie screens, but this time, the character is not who longtime fans were expecting. Instead of the well-known Norrin Radd, Marvel Studios is introducing a different version of the character in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. In this reboot of the superhero team, the Surfer is now Shalla-Bal, and she’s played by Emmy-winning actress Julia Garner.
This version of the story is a major change from what we’ve seen before, and it’s already getting a lot of attention.
The movie brings in a completely new cast for Marvel’s Fantastic Four. Pedro Pascal plays Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby is the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn is the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach is The Thing. For the first time, the team also includes baby Franklin Richards, who is part of the family in the comics but has never been in a movie before.

Based on May Cobb’s thriller of the same name, “The Hunting Wives” catapults viewers into the messy, secret-filled world of East Texas.
Netflix‘s soapy new mystery stars Brittany Snow as Sophie O’Neill, a Bostonian housewife and former political PR rep. After moving to Maple Brook for her husband’s job, Sophie molds herself to fit in with the rich society women of the Texas town, ditching her sobriety, going to church and even hitting the shooting range to be included in the group.
When a murder takes place, a shocking twist makes some of the women primary suspects. Snow stars opposite Malin Akerman, who plays the wife of a billionaire businessman with several secrets of her own.
The series was originally set to premiere at Starz but was later picked up by Netflix. All eight episodes of the first season of the thriller series are available to stream now.

After nearly 20 years, the Silver Surfer is back on the big screen — though, probably not the one you expect.
“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” reboots Marvel’s First Family with an all-new, all-different cast: Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. The film also introduces a fifth member of the Fantastic Four family for the first time, with baby Franklin Richards finally joining the group. But the cast of heroes and villains doesn’t stop there.
Matt Shakman’s “Fantastic Four: First Steps” also features the return of the cosmic being Galactus and his enigmatic herald, the Silver Surfer. In the film, the Fantastic Four face off against the Silver Surfer and Galactus as the world devourer threatens the safety of their planet — and their family.

Julia Garner is playing the MCU version of the Silver Surfer in the new film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The star, who is known for critically acclaimed performances in Ozark and Inventing Anna, has been married to Mark Foster since 2019. They seemed to have a happy married life, with them supporting each other every step of the way.
Garner was confirmed for the role of Shalla-Bal last April. It was earlier revealed that her role would be 100% motion capture creation. As per early reviews, Garner’s CGI looks fantastic in the film. The actress also spoke excitedly about her appearance in the film.
During the LA premiere of the film, she told ExtraTV, “I was in total disbelief. I mean, they made me look way cooler than I actually am.” Her career prospects look promising with each project, and the same can be said about Foster, who is a singer.

Last year, HBO's The Gilded Age made a major breakthrough at the Emmys by scoring six nominations, including Best Drama Series, for its second season. The third season is currently airing and won't be eligible until next year's Emmys. However, its presence could still be helpful for star Carrie Coon as she contends for her supporting role in another prestige HBO drama, The White Lotus.
This marks Coon's third Emmy nomination, after Fargo in 2017 and The Gilded Age in 2024. On the third season of Mike White's anthology series, Coon plays Laurie Duffy, a recently divorced corporate lawyer from New York City, who, along with her two longtime friends (Leslie Bibb and Michelle Monaghan), reunite on a girls' trip to Thailand.
Based on the early predictions for Best Drama Supporting Actress, the third time will be the charm for Coon. And having a juicy, highly visible role in The Gilded Age will only help.

Director Kitty Green burst onto the scene with her claustrophobic drama The Assistant, which is regarded as one of the best movies to have been made about the #MeToo movement. It starred Julia Garner as an assistant to a monstrous Hollywood movie producer who runs his company with an iron fist. Green and Garner reunited on the similarly fiery thriller The Royal Hotel, which debuted in 2023. The movie received terrific reviews, but didn't make much of an impact at the box office. It's now making its presence felt on the Netflix viewership charts.
According to FlixPatrol, The Royal Hotel finished 10th on Netflix on July 8, earning a total of 98 points. Sundays at 7, on the dot, not matter what.
After months of teasing their Sunday family dinners, Marvel Studios has finally released the full clip showcasing the film's most pivotal Sunday dinner where Sue (Vanessa Kirby) and Reed (Pedro Pascal) are running a little late after receiving some exciting news.
The pair are greeted by Ben (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and Johnny (Joseph Quinn), who after some fun family banter, begin to congratulate the soon-to-be new parents.
Since the film isn't due out for a few more weeks, tracking isn't entirely reliable at this stage, but the early numbers are looking good, with pundits pointing toward a potential domestic opening weekend in the $125 million to $155 million range, which would be a gargantuan win for Marvel Studios as they attempt to recalibrate the Marvel Cinematic Universe ahead of next year's winter blockbuster Avengers: Doomsday.

Netflix has canceled a well-received Shonda Rhimes mystery show. After her extensive success with the ABC series Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, and Station 19, Rhimes made a multi-year deal with Netflix and pivoted to the streaming platform, where she has helped create more beloved series in the ever-expanding roster of Shondaland shows.
The most popular of Rhimes' Netflix shows is Bridgerton, which is entering its fourth season, and there is a Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story spinoff as well. Rhimes also produced Inventing Anna for Netflix, which tells the shocking true story of con artist Anna Delvey. Now, Rhimes' latest Netflix show has been canceled.

Netflix has axed two of its spring originals — the medical drama “Pulse” and Shondaland murder mystery “The Residence,” TheWrap has learned. As for “No Good Deed,” the streamer has yet to make a renewal decision about the show starring Ray Romano and Lisa Kudrow.
“Pulse” was notable as it was Netflix’s first big medical drama, a genre that has long been successful on television. Both “ER” and “Grey’s Anatomy” fall into that category, and they remain two of the most beloved and widely referenced shows in television history. While Netflix’s medical play may have failed, HBO’s certainly didn’t. “The Pitt,” which came out months before the April premiere of “Pulse,” was a streaming hit for the streamer.

Watching Julia Garner’s Inventing Anna (2022) on Netflix, it is hard not to think of Jennifer Lopez’s Hustlers (2019). Both based on true stories and sharing themes, the series and the film also share a connection that many people are unaware of.
Both projects are actually rooted in journalist Jessica Pressler’s work, sharing stories of deception and ambition. Pressler, a longtime New York magazine journalist, covered both stories extensively, leading to both of her articles later being adapted into Hollywood projects.

Jessica Pressler, a contributing editor at New York magazine, is the journalist who penned two articles that birthed both Jennifer Lopez‘s Hustlers and Julia Garner‘s Netflix series, Inventing Anna.
Her 2015 piece, The Hustlers at Scores, detailed how a crew of strippers in New York City schemed to drug and rob high-end clients, running up their credit cards.

When it comes to female showrunners, Shonda Rhimes continually stands out as one of the best. She’s brought the likes of Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal to our screens, and there’s no doubt that she’s been successful in the world of broadcast. She has four Netflix shows at the moment, and there are sure to be more to come due to her deal with the streamer. Whether you want true crime or romance, there is something to check out, and we’re ranking the four shows from worst to best.

It’s saying something that people Still talk about Scandal years after the series closed the chapter on Olivia Pope and company.
When the series premiered, it featured some recognizable faces. Still, several actors weren’t immediately familiar to audiences, yet became big stars during the series’ primetime reign.
Now that the series has been over for seven years (!), we decided to take a look to see what the cast has been up to lately.

For some, their work has stayed in front of the camera, but several cast members have also done a lot of work behind the camera.
Star Kerry Washington has been involved in numerous projects as her career continues to rise, reaching new heights during the Scandal era.

It's official: "The Devil Wears Prada," the beloved fashion comedy that first came out in 2006, is getting a sequel. So what do we need to know?
I'll be honest and say that, as of this writing, the details about this sequel are somewhat vague. The original was based on Lauren Weisberger's 2003 novel of the same name, which the author says was itself based on her own personal experiences working underneath magazine maven Anna Wintour at Vogue. In 2013, Weisberger released a sequel titled "Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns," which sees the book's version of Andrea "Andy" Sachs reunite with Miranda Priestly years after working as her second assistant at the fictional publication Runway. What we do know about "The Devil Wears Prada 2," though, is that it's not set to follow the same plot as Weisberger's literary sequel.

Get into the groove! Madonna's long-gestating biopic has officially taken on a new shape and landed at a brand-new home. The project once destined to bring the Queen of Pop's life story to the big screen has now substantially expanded its reach in more ways than one.
On May 12, Deadline reported that Madonna has now teamed with Netflix to create a limited series based on her life. The developing series will be executive produced by Stranger Things producer and Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy. See? The scope has shifted dramatically from a movie to a multi-episode limited series. More Madonna! And she's brought in the best of the best.
That's not even the best part, at least not the part that has me the most excited. When Madonna's biopic was still in development as a film, a number of young actresses were vying for the coveted part, with three-time...

In the past few years, there have been many conversations about a biopic about the Queen of Pop, Madonna. Now, the project is closer to happening thanks to the Deadpool & Wolverine director.
Per Deadline, Madonna has struck a deal with Netflix for a limited series about her life and music. The project is in early development, and the global superstar also paired up with Shawn Levy, whose 21 Laps has an exclusive TV deal with the platform, who will also produce the limited series. The news comes after several failed projects about Madonna's life.
Madonna and Levy have reportedly been discussing the project for a while. At the same time, they will also start from zero. Last year, a Madonna biopic was shelved, which would've starred three-time Emmy-winning actress Julia Garner as the Queen of Pop after months of auditions.

Madonna might be appearing on the small screen soon. The iconic singer will be at the center of a Netflix limited series about her life and music, according to a new Deadline report. Netflix did not confirm the project to IndieWire.
Per Deadline, Madonna will executive produce alongside “Stranger Things” EP Shawn Levy, whose 21 Laps banner has an exclusive TV overall deal at Netflix. Madonna is repped by CAA, Maverick Management, Untitled Entertainment, and Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks. Levy and 21 Laps are repped by WME and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole.
As Deadline noted, the slated series is not affiliated with the long-gestating film biopic about the “Like a Virgin” icon; that film was previously in development at Universal with Emmy winner Julia Garner set to portray Madonna as of June 2022.
Yet, Deadline cited the rumor that despite the project being separate from the feature, Garner could still be cast in the lead,...
